Alternate Title: Kazuya did something bad.

Hazui Tadanori, Second Year (Almost)

Tadanori had been given the very special task of watching over one of the rooms on the day of Seidou's entrance exam.

Well, given wasn't quite the right word. The student council seemed to be just short of one person to do the deed and Tadanori being the kind soul that he is offered his service to his class representative to take the job (though Kuramochi, who was sitting a couple of seats in front of him, muttered about how stupid Tadanori was for letting precious practice time go to waste and Shirasu, who was sitting exactly on his left, barked out a snicker-as if the job wasn't fitting for Tadanori). If he could help, then why shouldn't he? Besides, it was just watching over some kids for a couple of hours as they take a test, nothing bad is going to happen. And if he was lucky, Tadanori could get something out of it. It was a win-win (well, maybe okay-win) situation and Tadanori was fine with it.

Kazuya, however, wasn't as happy as Tadanori when he heard that their Saturday movie date was getting cancelled.

"First," Tadanori said as he placed his clothes inside of his suitcase as Kazuya leaned in frame of his dorm room. Ryousuke-senpai had left the dorm the day before and that day was the last day Seidou could offer before all students had to leave the campus ground. "This isn't a 'date'."

Kazuya groaned, crossing his arms on his chest though he said nothing to disagree with him.

"Second," Tadanori continued, zipping up the suitcase. "You know I don't like action movies. If you wanted me to come, then why the hell did you choose that movie?"

"It's not an action film!" Kazuya whined. Even after losing a game or injuring his leg, Tadanori had never seen Kazuya more upset and worked up as he was that day. And over a movie? "It's a love story about a married couple-"

"I read the synopsis, Kazuya." Tadanori narrowed his eyes, finally looking away from his suitcase to his friend. "It's about a hitman avenging his dead wife... or something like that, you can't fool me."

The other male pouted, mumbling about how it wasn't his wife he was avenging, but a dog. A dog? Either way, Tadanori pulled the suitcase handle up and he went to sit on it, using his foot to push himself around, feeling like a kid once again as he went in circles around his room.

"You're acting like a little kid-"

Before Kazuya could continue, Tadanori stopped spinning and raised three fingers in front of his face, blowing strands of hair that fell on his eyes (sheesh, how do they grow so quick? He's going to have to cut them sooner or later). "Third. I made a promise, Kazuya. You can't just break promises."

"Yes, you can."

Tadanori looked at him, half not believing what he just said but also half understanding that that was just how Kazuya is as a person. "You're unbelievable."

"Mei's gonna be there, you know."

Ah.

There was it.

Kazuya's ultimate weapon. Narumiya Mei. Tadanori knew he was going to pull a 'Mei' on him sooner or later, and so he narrowed his eyes up at the catcher who refused to return his gaze. Mei was probably not going to be there, Tadanori could tell that he was lying just by the how he was acting-all fidgety and restless. He knew, however, that if he said yes to watching the movie, then Kazuya would try and get Mei to come with them. It made him reminisce a bit over the few times the three had hung out together during their middle school days, Tadanori appreciated the nostalgia, but he didn't appreciate what Kazuya was doing.
