Heartbroken. An adjective meaning suffering from overwhelming distress. This is exactly how Betty Cooper is feeling. Betty Cooper owns her own veterinary business and helps all the pets in Riverdale meaning she often works late. Therefore meaning less time with her boyfriend Archie Andrews. She didn't think it was a problem for him but turns out it was.

Betty and Archie had now become slightly distant from one another and argued about things one of them being that Betty really wanted to adopt this dog she saw while at work and Archie said no because no one could replace Vegas. Vegas was Archies pet dog growing up and unfortunately died when Archie was 18. But today Betty hoped they wouldn't argue and would have a nice day.

Sure enough that was true and Betty had finished work earlier due to having a doctors appointment. Unfortunately the appointment didn't go as she hoped.
"Miss Cooper I have some news for you, unfortunately you cannot have children. I'm so sorry Miss Cooper." Was how it went. This broke Betty even more. Now she just had to go home and tell her boyfriend.

As soon as she drove home she opened the door and went inside looking for Archie. She didn't find him but she heard the shower running so she decided she would wait in their bedroom and then tell him the unfortunate news. That was until she heard noises coming from the shower. She thought Archie was just pleasuring himself as they hadn't really had much time to pleasure each other due to Betty's work schedule but boy was she wrong.

Then she heard another noise but this time it was from a woman. At this very moment Betty's heart broken into a thousand pieces. Archie was cheating on her. Betty was p*issed. She stormed upstairs into her and Archie's bedroom, inti their ensuite and ripped the shower curtain open.

"You stupid, lying, disgusting, cheating hoe Archibald, we're over" she screamed, leaving a very shocked and naked Archie and Josie. Betty packed her bags and left. She ran out the house with tears falling down her face and headed next door to where her mum lived.

Betty anxiously knocked on the door really hoping her mum was in and was going to let Betty stay just until she sorts her life out. Sure enough the door opened to reveal the one and only Alice Cooper -well Smith but to Betty her mum will always be a Cooper. Alice immediately let Betty in after seeing her tear stained reddened face. "Awww honey what's wrong?" her mum asked. Once Betty stopped crying she explained everything that happened and her mum let her stay while she sorted her life out.

This made Betty feel much better despite still being heartbroken by the one she loved the most in this world but maybe just maybe something good would come out of this.
