It was Thanksgiving.
Something Maya never thought she would be excited about.
She and her father ha dnow fixed up their relationship and it was better than ever before.
Her sisters also gave her reason to be nicer and to be there more often.

"Come on, Dad! It's not like I ask for these kind of things every day," Riley said and Maya smiled as Riley was trying to convince her father to allow her to go to a dance in January.
"Maya," Cory said and Maya shook her head.

"Matthews, I'm in high school. I don't control your daughter anymore," Maya said as she heard a knock on the door before a seventeen year old suddenly came through.
"Hey, kiddies. What is my niece trying to do this time?" Josh asked.
"Trying to convince your brother to let her go to semi-formal and now I am piggy in the middle while I'm already in high school," Maya said.
"Oh yeah. Ty pure turning 15 in like two months. What are we doing?" Josh asked.
"Ask that question about your niece's 14th birthday coming up," Maya said smiling.
