Chapter 12

Maya sat looking at the screen of the television as she hears a knock on the door.
She exhaled as she just shook her head.

"It's dangerous not locking your door," Josh said as Maya looked at him.
"The person who wants to kidnap me can go ahead. I'm anyway useless so they'll return me within five seconds. What are you doing here?" Maya asked and Josh smiled.
"Came to see you since you didn't show up at my brother's," Josh said.
"It's been a pretty lazy Sunday. I haven't done much except gone to my grandmother's grave so you could say I don't feel like seeing people," Maya said.
"Does that include me?" Josh asked and Maya laughed.

She switched off the television as she faced Josh for the first time.
She wasn't going to cry this time neither was she going to do something she will regret.

"No it doesn't. I'm actually glad you're here because I do think we need to talk about that kiss," Maya said as Josh gave her a smile.
"What do you want to do then? Try the dating thing while we both know my niece is gonna kill us?" Josh asked.
"Why not? Josh, I don't care what your family says. I've loved you despite that and I think that applies for you as well," Maya said.
"Let's do it then," Josh said causing Maya to smile.
