Chapter 4

Riker and Derek were waiting on a cliff over looking the water at a nearby beach. Riker kept asking him tons of questions. "Why did you drag me here?", "You know I could be working on a new hit single right now, right?", "Who is this chick you want me to meet?", "You aren't trying to hook me up with some random person are you?" Derek never answered. He just rolled his eyes and stayed silent.

Liv and Liz pulled up near the cliff. They had a few minutes walk but it was worth the view. They never understood why no one else ever went up there. The place was beautiful. Sure, some thought it was dangerous, but that is only if you fall in.  Liz came up behind Derek and wrapped her arms around his neck. He smiled. "They're here Riker" he said. "Who is here?" Riker said. "The people I wanted you to meet" Derek said slowly. Riker rolled his eyes and stood up. He had been sitting on the edge of the cliff, starring at the view. He turned around and saw Liv... And Liz. "Riker, this is my girlfriend, Aliza. Call her Liz if you'd like." Derek told Riker. Riker nodded with the 'Nice to meet you' smile. He walked over to Liv. "You're her little sister aren't you?" He asked her. "Uh, yea, uh, I'm Livia." She said nervously. Riker nodded. "Nice to meet you, Livia." he said. Liv smiled. "I have always dreamed of meeting Riker Lynch" Liv said walking over to the edge of the cliff. "Really?" Riker said watching her. "Nope" Liv answered with a half smile. Riker walked up next to her. "I am a fan of yours though" Liv continued. Riker looked at her. "What fan of mind doesn't dream of meeting me?" He said 1/2 jokingly, 1/2 serious. "I'm not wasting my dream on meeting you. Not when my older sister is dating your cousin. So, any day I can just say 'Liz, I want to hang with your boyfriend, so I can meet his cousin' " Liv said. Riker laughed a little. "So, your sister's car...it looks nice" Riker said changing the subject. "How would you know?" Liv retorted. "I can see it from here" Riker replied looking towards the area in which it was parked. "Oh..." Liv said, feeling stupid. Riker looked at her confused for a moment. "Sit" Riker said to Liv. Liv just looked at him. Riker sat down. "Sit" he repeated. Liv still just looked at him for a moment and then sat down. "Riker, what is that on your face? It looks like a scar?" Liv said. "Ninjas". Riker answered, sounding serious, though he wasn't. Liv laughed ever so slightly. "Darn ninjas" she replied. "Yea, I hate'em" Riker said "Kinda sucks that my brother is one." Liv laughed a little more this time. "Was" she said. Riker looked at her confused, wit a half smile on his face. "Rocky was a ninja, but he sucked so..." Liv told him. "Yea, he did kinda suck" Riker told her as he looked out at the water. "How did you know I was talking about Rocky?" Riker said looking back at Liv. "Which of your other brothers would want to be a ninja?" She answered. "Actually, if you think about it, any of my brothers would probably like to be a ninja" Riker said to her. Liv nodded. "Well, I recall Rocky saying 'I'm blending in like a ninja' in an episode of R5tv once" Liv said. Riker nodded. They both looked out at the ocean. "Beautiful"  Liv breathed out. Riker looked at her then back at the water. "Yea" he replied softly. "I have always loved nature" Liv said. "Nature can be pretty amazing in my eyes as well" Riker said. Liv looked at him. He looked back at her. Livia nodded. They both turned back to the scenery. "You know, we could be good friends" Riker said to Livia. "I think Derek and Aliza want us to be more than good friends" Liv said with a sigh. "I'm okay with that" Riker said looking toward Liv.  Liv starred at him for a while. She didn't know what to say. She got nervous. She looked back out at the water quickly. Riker frowned slightly and let out a tiny sigh. They sat there for a moment. "I'm sorry Riker" Liv said looking at him. He turned to her but didn't say anything. "I-I-I have never been asked out before. Especially, not by a guy like you. I just kind of freaked out. I got nervous. I am actually incredibly shy, you know." Liv just rambled on. Riker starred at her, thinking of the perfect way to shut her up. He didn't do it though, he just replied with a "that's okay" and a half smile. "I really would like to give it a try, for them" Liv said quietly. "Or for us ..." she said quieter. Riker finished his half smile. "Ok" he said. "There is a spot downtown that looks really amazing at night. We could just walk around and look into all the small shops and all of their lights. I could pick you up at your house around 7:00 on Friday." Liv bit her bottom lip slightly. "I-I would like that" she stuttered , smiling.

Derek and Liz had walked away earlier on. They came back then. "Hey, Riker, buddy, I have some stuff to do tomorrow, so it is time for us to go." Derek said walking up behind Riker and placing his hand on his shoulder. "Yea, Liv, I have to work tomorrow, so we gotta get going too" Liz said playing with the baby hairs that had come out of the bow, on the back of Liv's neck. Liv sighed but hoped no one would notice. She nodded and stood up. They all walked down to the cars that they came in. Derek and Liz getting into their driver's seat first. Liv looked over at Riker, their car parked next to theirs. "See you Friday" she mouthed to Riker. He smiled a huge smile. He nodded, his smile getting bigger. Liv smiled back & they climbed into the passenger seat. Riker and Livia kept smiles on their faces as they rode back home. They couldn't stop.
