| First Walk Together |

I walk out of the glass and wood frame doors of the restaurant. Turning to the left, I pass the other shops around. There aren't any lights that illuminate through the stores but I can still see what is inside. Some stores are blocked with the metal covering, to protect from people stealing. Stealing isn't quite common in the area but you can never be too certain.

The street lamps flicker with its yellow light while bugs fly around it. I look at the moon that shines it bright moonlight. The stars paint the boring, dark sky with character.

No matter how many times I walk the streets, it will never get boring. Walking gives me the time to think and even fantasize. Sometimes I stop by a gas station or general store to grab myself a snack. I don't eat dinner so I don't mind paying for over priced snack even though it's on sale. Anything to satisfy my food cravings.

I continue to walk the sidewalk till a convenience store came to my view. Since it's open, I decided to stop by. I still have a long way to go to get to my destination but taking a few stops is okay. It's more time for myself. The doors are automatic so they slide open when I stand in front of it. I walk toward the chips and grab myself a bag of Spicy Cheetos. Then I enter the area of refrigerators and open the doors to the variety of sodas. I get the cola that is next to the sprite. :))

There was a women at the register watching whatever that was on her phone. She was so engrossed to the screen that it had to take another person the walk in the store to make her look up, actually noticing I was ready to pay. She was silent the whole time while she scans the two items, she didn't even tell me the price. I hand her the cash, grab the bag and walk out of the store.

The cold air hits me once again as soon as the doors close. I stand there for a few seconds before walking to the benches that are at the front of the convenience store to enjoy my snack.

I set down the grey, plastic bag along with my backpack on the table. The sound of the store's doors open and close made the quiet night disturbed. I sit down on the blue seats and twist open the cap to my drink. The carbonated drink made a pop and what looks like mist came out of the bottle. I was about to take a sip of my drink when I heard a familiar voice.

"May I sit here?"

I look up at the male.

"Sure, no one is sitting here anyways." I give the man from a few days ago a smile while I answer him.

He only nods and sits down right in front of me. I see him take out a small tub of Ben and Jerry's vanilla Ice cream and a disposable spoon from his bag. Finally, I start to drink the Cola and eat my Cheetos.

"If I remember you are Akari, right?" He asks while he holds his spoon near his mouth, showing he was going to eat the frozen treat.

I only hum and nod, almost shocked that he still remembers. The few moments we had together was nothing memorable to some people but I guess we never forgot each other. He smiles and nods back, satisfied with the answer he received. Is this the way we are going to communicate? Nodding?
