Riku's p.o.v.

I woke up in a hospital room. My arm was bandaged up from the shoulder to my wrist and for a good reason if my memory of what happened once  I got checked out by the doctor is right. I had gotten some of Scarecrow's stupid scythe in my arm along with several pieces of glass. I needed to be more careful this was the first time in over two years I'd been hurt that badly by a villain. I looked over to my left and saw Jason fast asleep from the drugs. To my right was a window with an all to familiar view. "Great" I grumbled less than pleased that I'd been put in the hospital room I practically grew up in during my early childhood.

To many bad memories are associated with this room. But this time with Jason here I don't feel as isolated as when I was a child. I let out a sigh through my nose as I looked down on the hospital gardens. Though I suppose my time here wasn't all bad in a sense. "UGH" came a low grumble from Jason's side of the room snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Morning sleeping beauty" I joked

"Ugh my I feel like I'm on one of my hangovers and I'm quite sure I had nothing last night" Jason said

"Jason remember what happened at the concert venue?" I asked as he woke up more.

"Scarecrow attacked you like it was predicted" Jason said, "And I took a blow to the head and abdomen for you"

"Yup" I answered, "Then we were taken to the hospital as our civilian selves you had to go into immediate surgery while I had a few tests run which found that I had a bit of Scarecrow's scythe  and many pieces of glass in my arm" I continued holding up said arm, " And was taken to get all of it removed"

"Gotcha so how long do you think you and I will be put under house arrest by Bruce?" Jason asked

"At most he can give me a week, you are a different matter" I truthfully answered

"Here here" Jason laughed before groaning in pain

I gave him a grin. "Okay you only get that look when you're thinking of something you'd rather not be thinking of" Jason said giving me a once over

How is he so intuitive? I swear he's worse than Alfred at times. Deciding against not telling him cause he'd weasel it out of me regardless I told him. "You remember how I was in and out of hospitals when I was a child?" I asked

"Yeah you had sever breathing issues that you got over no thanks to the Human trafficking ring you were sold into" Jason answered

"What is the name of the hospital I was sent to in my records?" I asked him

"Tokyo Genr-.... oh"Jason said, "you mean we are in....?"

"Yup" I blandly said as the door opened to reveal a nurse.

"Nice to see you both awake." She said

I recognized her as one of the nurses that took care of me as a child. "Nurse Akira!" I said severely shocked to see her

"Nice to see you again Riku you've grown quite a bit since I last saw you which was what five- six years ago?" Akria-san said with a smile

"Yeah" I nervously said

"Well you're boy's family is here should I let them in?" She asked

"Wait is there a kid with rose colored hair with them?" Jason asked

"You mean Tenn then yes. But just say the word and he won't come in here" Akria-sama told us

"Please that boy is not allowed  anywhere near Riku or I during our stay here" Jason said with a dangerous edge in his voice, "And if he refuses to adhere to this have him arrested"
