LAW WAS ALWAYS READY TO DIE.It was an always present intrusive thought that made itself know about every ten minutes no matter how good the day seemed to be going. She could be surrounded by the people she loved, watching her favourite movie and eating her most beloved food, before her brain would suddenly scream at her that if she was to drop lifeless without warning that she'd be fine with it. A-okay. But she'd grown used to it because it was the truth. She saw no reason to fear death. It was simply a natural part of life that she had learned about quite young, after her grandmother on her fathers side died, and dealt with ever since. Sure, there were things in life she wanted to try and do before she kicked the bucket but death just wasn't something people could truly take control of. It was out of her hands and that was fine.
She simply didn't think she'd die so soon.
The 0 pointer towered above Law and the students around her and filled up all the space that the street provided while its track wheels crushed absolutely everything in its path. Fucked was the only word able to describe the girls situation. A harsh sigh escaped the teenager, gold eyes narrowed to a weak glare, while she was bent at the waist slightly. She was exhausted. Her lungs hurt from running for so long while her hands ached from how hard she was gripping Kikoku. Her quirk hadn't reached its limit but its not like that mattered. She swiped some sweat of her forehead with the back of her hand, black hair frazzled and wild, and coughed shakily. She knew the cheap concealer across her cheeks was beginning to smear.
"Fuck this shit" Law rasped as soon as the massive robot began to move towards the small group she was cluster in "I'm out"
"You can say that again!" The brunette beside her huffed as he shuffled on his feet nervously before tuning tail and sprinting down the street to the big main square. The rest followed his lead. Law lagged in the back slightly, her sword and her own exhaustion pulling her down, but pushed herself to keep going. She knew she was going to sleep for days when this was done.
"Crap!" A soft voice wheezed from behind Law as a red haired girl stumbled to a stop, hand clutching at her chest, as an angry flush spread across her cheeks. Seconds later a thunderous crash echoed from the end of the street as the massive robot drew closer with its red 'eyes' fixated on the closest target. Laws footsteps slowed, watching the girl for a moment, before spinning round and sprinting back towards. Her feet ached in her shoes while her shoulder was raw from running with Kikoku resting against it constantly. Law knew it was going to bruise.
The stranger was stumbling forward, heaving desperately for breath, as her hands fumbled for her right pocket. Her black eyes widened by the second. Pain was blooming in her lungs as her ragged breaths turning to gasps that shook her whole body. The ground shook under her feet as the glass of the building that towered over her shook and threatened to shatter. Cracks were already creating spider web patterns across the glass. Law ignored all of that and simply snatched the girls wrist up in a tight grip. Startled red clashed with gold. Law pulled the short girl closer to her, arm wrapping around her waist so her hand was free, before activating her quirk with a quick mutter of 'Room!' under her breath. The blue dome burst to life as the stranger gripped Laws jacket tightly, nails scraping against the fabric and tugging it roughly, but the black haired teens eyes snapped to the very end of the street where her quickly formed dome ended. The corpse of a 1 pointer sat lifeless, it large frame being easy to see and fixate on. It was perfect.
