I was so nervous
When I saw you arrive
My heart was pounding
And I didn't even know why
I couldn't dance
Or even say hi
But you made me laugh
Although I truly wanted to cry

You held my hand briefly
As if to give me a taste

You placed your hands on my waist

Inches away
I didn't know what to say
You're patient with me
I'm glad you didn't go away
