Amy's Diner

8:40...

"Kookey bear.....you dumb a** you scared me" i exclaimed as i tried to calm my rapidly beating heart.

"Sorry principessa..i almost didn't recognize you" he grinned as he observed me from head to toe. "You find different ways to leave me gobsmacked" he said as he came to a stop before us.

Hazel scoffed at our interaction as she regarded her nails with genuine interest but her stance soon changed as she spotted Romano behind kayden looking as sexy as hell in his black three-piece armani suit which made me wonder how he could afford it. His dark trendils were gelled back in a messy but organized kind of way giving him that 'i don't give a f***' vibe.

Come to think of it i had a lot of questions for this guy.....his presence was a mystery on its own. i had this sudden urge to know who he was that he kept a gun and a dagger laying around at his disposal and how he gained access to different things they had made use of during this trip. His deep alluring eyes held so many secrets begging to be exposed but, something tells me that he wasn't one to sit around the camp fire and tell the story of his life.

His piercing gaze travelled from kayden to me making me squirm with anxiety as his eyes raked over my figure his endless pools of silver giving nothing away. To say i was offended was an understatement but i couldn't pinpoint the exact reason disappionment washed over me like giants waves crashing against a rocky terrain.

Hazel wasted no time in slithering to his side and giving him a wanton smile. It was clear from her reaction that she was infatuated with him if not more as she placed her hand on his bicep endulging into what i assumed was a meaningless conversation judging by the look of indifference on his face as he stared straight into space hands in his pockets looking like a god damn model without trying.

"So i guess i'm gonna be your date right and the little detective over there gets to go with kayden right" hazel beamed as she gazed up at him hardly registering the fact that he wasn't interested in the conversation.

"Not exactly" he mused as he not so gently tugged his arm out of her grasp, walking over to the car and pulling the driver's door open he paused and fixed his electricfying gaze on me. "I wanna keep an eye on her myself, cause i got a few things to discuss with her" i gulped as i registered his words in my mind hoping i didn't have to worry about the use of knifes in this conversation.

"Now all of you get in" he said as he shut the door and started the car not bothering himself for a reply.

Hazel shoved past me...

Harshly might i add.

As she got in the back seat with kayden beating her to the passenger seat and sending her a smug look before shutting his door with a bang. I scurried over to the door and yanked it open before plopping my self on the seat hurriedly shutting the door behind me seeing as we were in a hurry.

The car ride wasn't very long seeing as we were a block away from the building. I was honestly glad i won't be sitting in akward silence for long as we pulled up at the gate stopped by one of the guards.

Emilio wind down his window and shoved an invitation card at the poor unsuspecting guard before winding back up and waiting for the gate to open.

The building was more magnificient up close with its gold illuminated cream walls dripping with money as elegantly dressed people spread across the place either wining or dining.

The guard pressed a button on the control panel giving Romano an annoyed look and the gate slipped open in slow motion like that of an action movie. My mouth hung open as we cruised through the drive way looking for a suitable place to park. I began to feel uneasy as judging stares of the rich were fixated on our car probably wondering who was in it. My earlier excitement had vanished and replaced by anxiety but my curiosity still remained as i took a good look around the perfectly trimmed drive way which was decorated with little roses and daffodils surrounding a marble statue fountain of a woman in white marble elegant robe with her delicate granite fingers nursing a water pot which served as an outlet for the water to rush into the small pond surrounding it. The stars in the sky glistened across the navy blue water in the fountain leaving me mesmerised.
