My apartment door creaked open as i pushed my way into my two bedroom flat i didn't have any family left except for my uncle Ty but he lived all the way in london so i didn't bother renting a flat with many rooms seemingly content with my cosy and simple flat. a sigh escaped my lips as i plopped down heavily on my sofa.
Stretching my sore muscles which protest under the unfamiliar exhertion with a pop. i reached over to grab the remote that sat on the wooden side table to my right but i was interrupted by a knock on the door, pausing in mid stretch i looked at the old cuckoo clock that sat on my mantel an old gift from uncle.
my eyebrows furrowed in confusion as it read 11:30, wondering who it could be at this hour i cautiously strolled down to the door making my footsteps light giving me the element of susprise.
As i glanced through my peep hole i was suprised to see nia standing on the other side of my door tapping her foot impatiently as a scowl was set on her face, confused and curious i swung the door open only to be pushed aside, harshly might i add as nia spedwalk to my room.
"nia, what the hell" i exclaimed as i threw my hands angrily in the air following closely behind her as she pushed my bedroom door open with force.
"sorry, but this is an emergency there's no time to waste the guys are waiting for us" she said as she pulled my suitcase from beneath my bed and started folding my clothes inside.
"nia" i screamed as i held both her hands to gain her attention " what guys, and what is going on " i asked with my voice laced with confusion".
Wrenching her hands from my grasp she shushed me and continued packing my stuff "just shut up and help me pack, i'll explain to you later....i promise"
she stated with a sincere look in her eyes.
Letting out a loud sigh i started packing my toiletries along with my journal, laptop and my phone charger. after 30mins we finally finished packing my stuff picking up my passport and some money i hurried after nia not forgetting my handbag.
Locking the door behind me i turned to see a black van with tinted window parked infront of my house....." errh- nia who are those guys " i asked giving them a skeptical look
" oh those are our team mates, now we gotta hurry we don't have much time left" she remarked pulling me to the van with my suitcase on her other hand.
Suddenly the van door flew open and out came cody, a typical american golden boy with blonde hair blue eyes and a golden smile. he took my suitcase from me and dissapeared behind the van, probably to put it away in the trunk.
"so are drake and wilson here" i asked giving all my attention to nia.
"just get in the van and i'll explain it to you" she sighed climbing into the empty van and pulling me along to seat beside her. something tells me that this is not going to be pleasant at all for me or the guys. cody came back after shutting the trunk, he pulled open the driver's door and got in looking behind to see if we were complete "hey andrea, it's been a long time " cole's gruff voice resonated through the empty silence of the van. "ya, it has hasn't it- so how is greta" i asked giving him a small smile.
Greta was his hipsanic girlfriend with blonde hair and brown eyes, a cheerful personality and a dazzling smile that could light up the whole room and apparently cole's heart they're relationship is so adorable since they're high school sweethearts and have been doing great. i wish the universe would bless me with someone like cole but at 23 and with no relationship status you tend to loose all hope.
"greta's doing great, although i'm sad that i couldn't spend more time with her" he stated as his face fell with sadness.
"well--- i heard you proposed to her" i asked trying to cheer him up a little bit.
"yes i did" he remarked as his eyes began to sparkle with love and adoration " well i think greta is lucky to have you" i gave him a friendly pat on his back.
"ok guys.....enough chit chat and let's go cole step on it" nia snapped getting fed up with our conversation.
"hmmm.... that reminds me..... what the heck is going on and where are the others" i snapped giving nia a pionted look.
"errrrrh..... before i tell you promise me you won't get mad" nia groaned wringing her hands together nervously.
"sorry but i can't make any promises" i said urging her to continue.
"Well.....there's been a change of plans and we're travelling" nia stated looking perplexed.
"It doesn't take a genius to figure that out seeing as you packed a suitcase for me, now tell me what's really going on" nia sighed.
"we're travelling to los angeles to get more information.. And we have to be there tomorrow night".
My face paled when i backtracked all that she said my body began to tremble as different images flashed through my mind each one harsher than the last. I flinched when i felt a warm hand on my shoulder it took me a second to realise it was nia.
" oh my gosh, are you okay...oh i knew i shouldn't have told you...this is all my fault, bad nia, bad bad nia".
" hey, hey nia it's not your fault and i'm okay. I'm 23 i can handle it " i said trying to calm both nia and myself down.
"oh my baby" nia cooed crushing me in a tight hug
" your so strong"
Soon i felt a wet substance trickling down my face, but i soon realised they were my tears. I thougt i wouldn't have to face this chapter in my life but fate played such a cruel game, and as i sat there trying to console myself i made a promise that i wouldn't let fate win this time, But boy was i wrong.....
