Rivals or frenemies?

Mao Mao's pov:
Yesterday, when we met the thief. I swore when I looked at her, she looked....kinda cute.
Of course, when I thought about that. It was impossible for the both of us being a thing since I'm the hero and she's the villain.

"Hey, Mao Mao??" I heard Adorobat, getting out of my thoughts.

"What- What it's it?" I said.

"Dude, you were deep thinking again. You lost two times at my video game" Badgerclops said.

"Where you thinking about that lady we met yesterday??" Adorobat said.

"What? No! Of course not! I was... thinking if we had any appointments from the king today! Yeah..." I said, scratching the back of my head.

"Really? Alright" Adorobat said.

3rd person pov:

You were going walking through the village again, with your hood on and your weapon at your back. You needed to buy some comforting essentials at the stores until you saw the king talking to some sweetypies.

"When you see this thief around the village, tell me. I'll get the sheriff to catch that thief" the king said.

'Shut the front door. There on to me, I have to be extra careful when it comes to these people' you thought, and went to a near by potion store.

"Well, hello There madam. What can we get for you?" A chameleon sweetypie said.

"You got any of that, super speedy potion?" You said, hood still down.

"Why, yes. That'll be 5 cents" the chameleon said.

You gave 5 cents to the chameleon and grabbed the potion. "Thanks" you said and went off.

You leaped up to the roofs of the houses and read the label in the potion.
'Warning: once you drink this, you will have the speed forever?' Well, thats more of a perk than a warning' you thought and drank it.

Time skip to nighttime
Mao Mao pov:
We were looking around the village to check for any suspicious stuff.

"Mao Mao, why do we need to check tonight?? I need my sleep!" Badgerclops said.

"You never know what that thief will be doing..." I said.

"AHHHHHH!!" We heard a scream from farmer bun.

We went to his farm and saw some of his crops were stolen and some cobbler...This thief is another level.

"Sheriff! It was terrible! She stole my crops and my cobbler! She even ate it in front of my face!" Farmer bun said.

"WHAT?! THATS MY JOB!!" Badgerclops said.

Adorobat looked around farm and noticed something wrong.

"Was that scarecrow suppose to be on top of the farm?" She asked and pointed upward.

We pointed our flashlights to get a better look and the thief was there.

"Get down from there in the name of the law!!" I shouted at her.

"I go by my own rules, mittens!" She shouted back and started running away.

"GET BACK HERE WITH THE COBBLER!!!" Badgerclops yelled.

I ran to the other side of the farm and chased her down the field. She was fast but not fast enough to out run me!
I caught her and pinned her down on the grass.
"Gotcha!" I said. Why do I feel like my cheeks are heating up?

3rd person:

You looked up and saw the black cat pinned you down on the grass. You kicked him in the stomach and leaped up on your feet, with your weapon on your hand.

"Stop right there!" You heard the bat.

"GIVE US BACK THE COBBLER!" The badger said.

"Why would I? It's really good. Well, 2nd to my first favorite food" you said.

"Just give it to us, please?" You heard the bat.

"Fine, I got more valuables to steal anyways" you said and threw the bag to the three.
"I'm just gonna do this once though for the innocent little bat you have"

"Why thank you! My name is Adorobat, can we hang out in the village tomorrow?" Adorobat said.

"No, Adorobat, she's a thief. She can pick your pockets any time you go near her" the black cat said.

"But she gave the food back, Mao Mao. Can we at least do something in return?"
Adorobat said.

"Fine, but Badgerclops will be coming with you and her." Mao Mao said.

"I have a name you know, it's Y/n" you said.
"I dunno if you count magic as pick pockets" you said and pulled out a golden katana.

"Wai-What? How did you?" Mao Mao said.

"Yeah, I might check if I were you" you said.

Mao Mao got out his katana cover and was relieved it was still there.

"Let's hang out at 9:00 am tomorrow, Adorobat. I'll see you at the village fountain!" You said and ran back to your cave leaving dumbfounded policemen.
