I drove down the dark road. I left a few hours earlier so I could get there and get back. I hated my family, they always made fun of me, and my looks. I sighed as my long hair fell on my face. I looked at my watch. '10:30' "great" I mutter. I saw a sign that read 'Bates Motel' I pulled in the lot. I got out and walked into the lobby. A boy about my age walked out and he smiled at me. I stared at him for a second then walked up the the desk. "Hi, I would like a room" I said, "o-of course."he said, he bent down and grabbed a recorded book. When he came back up our eyes locked. "I- uh- need you to sign your name" he said, I looked down and started to write my name. I felt his eyes on me and I blushed. I put the pin down and looked up at him. He looked down and read my name. "Miss.Ln, I'm Norman Bates" He said, I smiled at him, "Nice to meet you, you can call me Yn." I said, His smile beamed wider. "I'll lead you to your room. Do you have any bags?" He asked, as we walked out. "I just have a over night bag. I'll get it." I said grabbing it. He shyly took the bag from me. "C- can I?" "If you insist" I said, holding my purse, he smiled at me and walked to cabin 1. He unlocked the door and sat my bag on the bed. "Um, there's a unopened bar of soap, some unused shampoo and conditioner. And um there's the closet." He said obviously embarrassed that he rambled. "Thank you so much Norman." I said, "oh um, do you know if any food nearby?" I asked, "the closest one is 18 miles, but it connects you to the new highway, if you want I can move your stuff back to the car." He said his smile fading.
"No it ok. I'll eat in the morning, thank you." I said, "I could bring you some food. I-if you would like." He said, "that would be lovely." I said, his smile popped back up again. "Alright I'll be back" he said, I smiled at his excited self. I moved my bag in the small closet. I sat on the bed and he walked In. "Y-you stayed." He said, "of course. Why wouldn't I?" I asked, "n-no reason." He said, he sat the the tray down and was about to walk out, I softly grabbed his arm and he turned. "Please eat with me." I said, he smiled like a little kid in a candy store. I patted the side of the bed and handed him, one of the half's sandwich part. "N-no I couldn't" he said, "Please. I insist." I said, He looked at me shocked then we ate. It was nice having someone who doesn't judge you. After we finished eating we talked for a bit. We both laid down and talked, I ended up falling asleep.
Norman's POV
When I heard her soft sighs I knew she was asleep. I looked beside me and she was snuggled into my arm. I blushed red, and managed to get my arm away without waking her. I put her legs under the covers and laid her head down. I moved her hair out of her face and smiled at her. I walked out of the room locking it. I turned off the sign and the lights in the lobby. I walked up to the house. What if mother knows about her... I sprinted back down to her room and unlocked the door. I took a key from the front desk and unlocked the door, opening it quietly. I closed it and locked it. I walked back over to her and laid down in the bed. She turned over and laid her head on my chest. I froze, I wrapped my hand around her waist then one over her shoulder, pulling her into me more.
Yn Pov
I woke up felling someone wrapped around me. I looked up at Norman's sleeping frame. He looked so sweet, I knew I liked him from the beginning. ~Next few months~
I ended up moving in with him. In one of the cabins, cabin 1. I had my clothes hung up, cloths in the dressers, Medicine in the cabinet. I walked out to the door and to the lobby. Norman walked in and smiled at me. "So Here's some breakfast. I have to drive to town and get more food." He said, "Alright. I'll be here." I said, he nodded and walked out getting in his Ford truck driving off. I sighed and sat down reading. I heard someone drive up so I put my book down and stood up. A lady walked in and I smiled at her. "Hi, would you like a room?" I asked, "Thats kinda why I'm here." She sassed at me, "Sorry Miss, but normally People just ask where the new highway is." I said, I pulled out the book, "Sign h-" "yeah yeah I know." I stoped talking and grabbed room key 4. Because I didn't want her next to me. "If you'll come with me please." I said, holding the door for her. I walked to her car and took out the bags. We walked to the room and she looked mad, "Here's your room ma'am." I said unlocking the door and putting her bags on the bed. "Why am I not in room 1." She asked, "Because that room isn't vacant," I said, "Well they can move." She said, "no ma'am, she was there first. Room 2 and 3 the people um, got sick so we have to wash everything." I said, I quickly walked out the door so I wouldn't hear another word from her. I saw the truck and I smiled, I ended up developing a crush on Norman.
He pulled up and got out. I hugged him and walked to the back pulling out bags, "I'll walk them up to the house. And I remember don't go upstairs no matter what." I said, walking up the stairs. I walked into the house and put everything up. I walked back down and I looked threw the window and the girl was flirting with Norman. 'Why should I care, he would never like me. He's not my boyfriend.' I thought and I walked in, "Hey, Yn." Norman said, "hey." I said smiling weakly, and picking up my book. "So is there a reason that I can't be in rooms 1,2, and 3." "I live in room 1, and I told you, people in room 2 and 3 where sick." I said, "y-yah what she said" Norman said looking at me. "Alright we'll I'm going to bed, unless, you want to join me." She said taking Norman's hand in hers. He pulled away quickly, "Sorry Miss." my cheeks where hot with anger.
