jungkook didn't talk much throughout the night, but he was just happy that he was welcomed back so quickly by all his friends.

it was three am now, all of them had parted ways. except for jungkook who stood almost completely still behind yoongi, watching as he locked up the doors to his restaurant. even when he couldn't see yoongi from the front, he could see the tip of the man's ears, a vibrant red.

after they sat back down a few hours ago, yoongi had a few drinks, enough to get him buzzed. yoongi didn't speak at all, only accepting a few compliments about how good the food was from the others.

jungkook just ended up answering questions about his whereabouts and why he left so abruptly while only keeping his focus on yoongi.

after a while, they stopped interrogating him and filled him in on all the things he missed out on. like how jimin and taehyung's promise rings that they never took off were going to be replaced with wedding rings. - or how hoseok and jin were finally getting to move in with each other.

namjoon told them that he was continuing his academic journey, also rethinking the possibility of making his students send letters again. after witnessing firsthand how successful his first attempt was, it gave him hope. of course, everyone at the table thought it was a great idea.

seeing as they all came together writing on a single sheet of paper.

as the night came to an end, namjoon left first, and after that pair by pair, they left. that leaves jungkook and yoongi in this situation. jungkook didn't have anywhere to go after and he wasn't sure if yoongi even wanted him here, so he finally took a step.

"where do you think you're going?" jungkook hears the man say, his mouth released a small sound and turned back around to look at yoongi. "i just got you back, jungkook. we aren't done, not just yet."

instead of being able to explain himself, jungkook stumbles backward a little. luckily, he manages to stand his ground when yoongi unexpectedly jumped onto him. he hung onto jungkook like a koala bear.

"i missed you." yoongi speaks softly into the crook of jungkook's neck, "won't you come over?" he asks him. jungkook thinks the question is ridiculous, only because there was no way he was going to pass this opportunity up.

there was just one true concern that flooded his thoughts.

"do you really want me there, hyungie?" he whispered back, but yoongi didn't even lift his head, nor did he respond. he just shook his head yes against jungkook's neck.

"i want you, jungkook. only you." it doesn't sound anything more than a mumble, though jungkook hears it clearly.

jungkook supports yoongi by bringing an arm underneath the man and the other hand on yoongi's head. "i want you too hyungie, only you." he says back, he's almost 100 percent sure that yoongi is starting to drift off into sleep.

"hey, hey, baby," jungkook tries to wake him up, looking to his side ever so slightly.

yoongi hums a response, but it's clear that he isn't fully awake, "i don't know where you live."

now it's even more clear, after the dead silence and the way yoongi's now heaving slowly up and down in jungkook's arms that he's fast asleep.

he can't help but chuckle before holding yoongi against him tighter and higher. this was funny to him and mostly cute.

"guess you're finally coming over to my place, huh?" jungkook says. he starts walking off, warmer than he was earlier, and warmer than he had felt in a long time.
