Marinette

I slammed the door open, sulking as I entered my house. My mother and father stared at me silently for a bit as I went to them. "Hi mom, dad" I mumbled, hanging my head low. The room was dead silent for a while until my mother's laughter filled the room. "Bluebell, what in Earth happened to you?" My mother laughed.

Bluebell was a nickname I've had since forever. All my family members call me this because I have bluebell eyes. They were really just a bright blue, but it reminded them of a Bluebell flower, so the nickname stuck with me. I like it though, it was cute.

I looked up at her with wide eyes, then quickly looked away, slightly blushing in embarrassment. They already know what happened, but they just want to tease me, and make sure I was more aware of my forgetfulness.

"Well?" My father asked raising an eyebrow. I looked up at him. He was grinning as my mother was smiling at me, giving me a knowing smirk.

"I...I forgot my umbrella. Ha..." I replied. "HAHAHA! Little Bluebell, you are so forgetful." My father said as my mother went behind the counter. She bent down and was grabbing for something. I looked at her suspiciously, arching my eyebrow. She giggled as she came back over to me with something behind her back. When walked in front of me, bouncing at her last step. She revealed the object behind her back. Low and behold, it was my umbrella. I shyly took the umbrella from her, thanking her as I did so. "Marinette, take this up to your room. I really don't know what I'm going to do with you. You'll get sick if you keep this up." She said smiling. She gave me a kiss on my cheek, instantly making me happier. "Go take a warm shower and I'll have some hot chocolate and cookies made for you." My father said. My face lit up even more with those words. A warm shower, a hot cup of hot chocolate, and some newly backed cookies sounded like Heaven. "OK! Thank you mom and dad!" I said as I bolted up the stairs.

I happily munched on my cookies. They were warm and delicious. I moaned in delight at the taste of the delicious dessert that were well know as "chocolate chip cookies", but I called them "real-life power up". They always changed my mood and how I felt when I ate them, just like a video game power up. They eat one and they feel stronger and more. I grabbed my side backpack I used to carry and protect my sketchbook from the rain. I was originally supposed to wait until school to use it, but I made it, so I could use it whenever and however I pleased. I pushed my chair over to my desk setting my bag down on the ground as I searched for my sketchbook. I grabbed it, but I felt more then my pencil pouch and sketchbook. It felt like a box...

I sat my sketchbook and pencil pouch on my desk and grabbed for the box. It was peculiar box. It was a small black box, no doubt it had a strange design on it, but it didn't hide the fact the box's design was beautiful. I examined it in awe. It was interesting, really.

I had been so busy examining it, it took 3 minutes for me to ask myself, "where did it come from?"

"Hm..." I mumbled. This was very strange. With the few minutes of inspection, I concluded it was a jewelry box. It was possible a necklace considering its size.

The box suddenly began to glow a vibrant pink. "EEP!" I squealed in surprise. I tossed it further on my desk in fear. It still glowed mysteriously, mesmerizing me with it on and off glow. I slightly pushed my chair back a little. I hugged my legs looking at the box in curiosity and fear. It still glowed on and off. The pink hue was very intriguing. I leaned my body forward to get a close look. My hands clenched on the bottom edges of the chair, so I could maintain my balance. My toes curdled in anticipation as the box continued to glow. "Is this...installed to the box?" I questioned doubtfully. If that were the case it should be terribly expensive. But I don't believe it is. When I examined it it had no signature of any kind or a price tag anywhere. Only a peculiar design and something inside.

I slowly reached for the box, pulling my chair closer to my desk. I grabbed the box delicately with both hands. I don't know what about the box seemed important, but the beautiful pink glow made me feel as if were something delicate and precious. And very special...

I neared the box to my face, slowly bringing one hand to the top while the other hand stayed below the box as supsupport. I lifted the top. My head tilting in curiosity at what could possibly be inside. The more I opened the box, the more light that came out. My eyes widened in excitement as I completely opened the box. The glowing had stopped. My face slowly fell. "What...?" I quietly whined.

There was a pair of earrings with a Ladybug design. Nothing special at all. I don't know what I had expected. The light seemed magical. I know I'm to old to believe in stuff like that, but I couldn't help but think that with the strange glow.

I gave my hopes up, until out of nowhere a blast of light came from the box. Too quick for me to scream, but enough for my to turn my head away.

I shut my eyes tightly, holding the box away with both hands. My body learning away, my knees to my chest, my body tense. I stayed like that for a few seconds until I hear the tiniest little yawn. My body relaxes a bit, but I didn't dare open my eyes. "Hello!" A tiny voice spoke. My eyes sprang open at the unfamiliar voice. "Wha-what are you?"
