*Elena POV*

We'd all passed out our presents but I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. I knew that if I said anything to the girls it would be because A had left us alone for too long and yes that was bothering me but it want just that. As I look around the room all I can see is people looking into someone else's eyes with undying love radiating from their whole being and I couldn't shake the pang in my heart when I realise what I had given up when I ran away all of 10 months ago. It had felt like longer. Heck it had felt like a lifetime. But for someone like me that lifetime was a lot longer than others.

*Spencer POV*

I kept in looking over at Elena and noticing the sullen look on her face and knew she was avoiding all of our gazes but we could all feel it. We could feel that the baby of our group was hurt and we all knew it was because of us. We tried to carry on as if we didn't notice but it just seemed to make things worse. I finally looked up at Toby ,but instead of adoration in my eyes, I was pleading and when he gave me a sudden nod I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear. I quickly gave a glance to all the girls signalling it was time to unveil our special present we had spent so long arranging and waiting to give to my twin and finally the time had come.

*Elena POV*

I couldn't help but be suspicious of my friends actions as they all stood up and spence got her phone out but I tried to shake it off convinced it had nothing to do with me. But then the guys began staring at me with a certain going in their eye that made my suspicion grow but also a sudden realisation sprang from within me when I realised how excited these people were for a present I was about to receive. The girls quickly file back in and in a matter of seconds the door bell goes.

I open the door and to my ultimate surprise there standing on my front step was someone I thought I wouldn't see forever.

Stefan Salvtore.

My heartbeat quickened and I could tell that he noticed when he began to speak.
"Klaus told me everything."
I didn't know what to do. Be angry. Happy. Scared. I just stood there stammering.
"I..i...i...i'm....i'm sorry" I said as I hung my head looking at the ground, terrified to look him in the eyes.
It took me a moment to realise his fingers reaching under my chin and returning my eyes to his loving gaze.
"I don't want to ever hear you say you're sorry again."
It was at that moment that u recognised the feeling within me as the one I felt every time I was with him and by the undying love radiating from him I took it as green light and without a second thought I snaked my arm around the back of his neck and pulled him down to me as I crashed my lips onto his...
