Kokichi's POV

Shuichi? He wants to talk to Shuichi? "O-oh, sorry but, Shuichi just left, if you want, I could leave him a message!" I smiled.

After saying that Rantaro seemed disappointed, and a bit anxious. "No no, its alright. Could you maybe just give me his number?"

I sighed, but nodded. My boyfriend passed me his phone, and I added Shuichis number as a contact, then handed it back to him.

"Thank you!" He forced a smile then gave me a kiss on the forehead. Rantaro then waved slightly, and left.

What did he want with Shuichi..?

Shuichi's POV

I arrived at a cafe, and began waiting in the line to make my order when I got a phone call from a random number. I hesitantly answered it.

"Hello? Is this Shuichi Saihara's number?" I heard a familiar voice.

"Yes it is!~" I replied happily.

"Oh great! Its Rantaro! You see.. Uhm.. Well I have to talk to you about something important." His voice seem distressed.

"Well, whats it about?" I spoke as I moved up two spaces in line. This cafe was often very busy.

"Its about Kokichi."

Tsumugi's POV

"What?! Kaede, why didn't you tell me sooner? They would've been great together!" I spoke to Kaede through the phone.

"I only just found out! This really does suck for Shuichi though. Based on my knowledge, its the first person he's actually fallen in love with." She sighed.

"Well, at least Kokichi's happy." I spoke sadly.

"Tsumugi. I have an idea." Kaede suddenly seemed more serious.

"What is it?"

"Look, I know me and you haven't talked much since middle school, but we're talking to eachother now perfectly fine! Do you know why?" She rambled on. Me and her got into a huge fight over a girl in middle school, and we haven't been friends since.

"Uhm.. No, I dont know why." I replied.

"Because its about our friends! We care so much about them that we would go as far as to talk to eachother! So if its for our friends sake, I think we can work great together!" I could basically feel her cheerful aura through the phone.

"Can you just get on with it?" If she was in an anime or game, she'd definitely be the protagonist based off how much she talks about friendship and teamwork.

"So what if.. Me and you work together to break Kokichi and Rantaro up!" She shouted.

Nevermind. I'm now getting antagonist vibes. "What? Kaede, I just said that Kokichi is happy, so we shouldn't ruin that."

"Yeah sure its fine when your friend is happy, but mine isn't." She mumbled.

"Kaede! I care about Shuichi too, but Kokichi's relationship is not something we can just change!"

"Fine. I'll do it by myself."

"Kaede no-" She hung up. Dammit.

Shuichi's POV

"What..?" I couldn't believe what Rantaro just told me. Even though I tried to hold it back, I began smiling way too much.

"I know, we just got together! But I just don't want to have a long distance relationship! I need advice on how to break it to him.." He sounded like he was crying.

"I guess the best advice I have for you is the pretty obvious stuff. Pull him aside, tell him what's going on, and then figure it out with him from there. Also, why the hell did you ask me about this? I know nothing about ACTUAL relationships."

"Because you're his roommate. I'm going to tell him at your apartment, and afterwards, I want you to be there so he at least has someone to cry to. I trust you Shuichi." He spoke quietly.

"I'm going to hang up now. I'll be at your dorm to break up with him at 5:00pm. I hope you'll be there too." Rantaro sighed and then hung up.

I looked at the time on my phone, and realized it was 4:49. From there I immediately left my spot in line and began running to my dorm. "Atua, please dont let this be a dream." I mumbled to myself as I ran.

When I arrived at my dorm it was 4:57pm I quickly ran into the dorm, and I saw Kokichi watching Tv.

"Hello.. Kichi..!~" I was out of breath.

"Oh, hey dumbass. Did you run here or something?" Kichi spoke, not even turning to look at me.

I simply ignored him and sat in my room, waiting for Rantaro to arrive.

It finally hit 5:00pm, and he wasnt here yet, but he was probably just late.

5:30pm, Bad traffic?

6:00pm, Okay where was he?

7:00pm, He ditched didn't he-

dingdong!

"I got it!" I heard Kichi shout from the other room.

I then heard the front door open, so thats when I left my room and sat in the living room, which was right by the front door.

"Rantaro! Hi! What are you doing here?" Kichi seemed happy to see him.

"Hey, Kokichi, I need to talk to you. Outside." Rantaro was obviously upset.

The two of them went outside, and from there, I couldnt here anything.

"...., ......!"

"....?"

".. .........."

"......?"

"........."

"What?!" I heard a muffled shout from behind the door.

Kokichi's POV

Rantaro.. Was moving for two years, and.. He wanted to break up with me..

"I-I dont want to break up with you Rantaro!" I felt tears fill my eyes.

"I don't want to break up with your either Kokichi, but I dont think I can handle a long distance relationship." He spoke quietly.

"S-so then thats it?" I felt tears start to stream down my face. I was mad, but I knew I wouldn't be able to handle a long distance relationship either.

"I'm going to go home and pack. I love you Kokichi, and I'm truely sorry." He started to cry as well.

"I love you too.." I hugged him tightly, staining his shirt with my tears.

We hugged for about 2 minutes before he kissed my forehead and left.

I couldn't stop crying. As I entered the dorm, I saw Shuichi a few feet apart from me with his arms open wide, signaling for me to come hug him.

I wiped some of my tears and hugged Shuichi.

Shuichi's POV

I couldn't believe this was happening. I should feel happy that I had Kokichi in my arms, but all I felt was guilt. I hated seeing Kokichi so sad.

"Does Atua hate me or something..?" I heard Kokichi sniffle as he spoke.

"The first boyfriend I ever get, and we only date for a few days.." He continued to cry.

I sighed and pet the top of his head as he cried into my chest.
