02. Hatred
😠

It was 2 o'clock in the morning and the party was finally coming to an end.

I was so tired since I was crying when I read halmeoni's note and when I saw her looking alive and healthy. After Sung Wa helped me put it on the locket, I instantly thanked her for everything she did for mother and father, especially for halmeoni.

Throughout the party, I kept looking at my locket and the picture inside of it. Grandmother was honestly my favorite family member. She would always take care of me at home when my sister had school and when mother and father had work. She would always give me all of the love and care in the world. When ever I feel sad, she would take me to her secret place on a beach and we would just sit there, talking about my problems and struggles and she would always listen.

"When it hurts--observe. Life is trying to teach you something." She would say to me and, honestly, that saying has helped throughout life.

When I got the news of halmeoni, I was in L.A because I was expanding my company, but that, of course, had to wait since halmeoni was more important. I quickly got onto a private jet and went back to Busan. I quickly dashed to the hospital to where grandmother was.

Then, I saw her. Halmeoni. On her death bed. Surrounded by my parents and my sister, along with more of her loved ones. There were no monitors or any tubes in her. I knew that she had passed away and before I knew it, I started to bawl my eyes out. If I'm gonna be honest, I've never cried that hard in my life.

Halmeoni had such an impact in my life that when she had passed away, there had always been massive hole in my heart.

And, no one's been able to fulfill that.

I started remembering everything about halmeoni that I didn't even notice Seokjin standing in front of me. He cleared his throat, so I can wake up from my thoughts and listen to him, but I didn't. So, he waved his hand in front of my face and I immediately jumped from his action.

"Seokjin!" I put my hand on my heart to check if it was still beating. "You scared the living daylights out of me!" I raised my voice to him.

"Yah! Don't get mad at me now. I have been calling your name and clearing my throat this whole time, but you won't stop daydreaming." He retorted. I just sighed heavily and closed my eyes. Then, I put my left index finger and my thumb on the bridge of my noise and rub it softly.

"What do you need? Aren't you suppose to take home Lady Syphilis tonight and tomorrow you have Miss Herpes?" I asked sarcastically, opening my eyes.

"Eomma wants to have breakfast with you tomorrow  and she wants to take you dress shopping as well. Also, your sister and mother will be coming as well." He said, completely ignoring the question.

"Okay." I responded coldly, then I noticed one of Seokjin's STDs glaring at me. "Oh, looks like I was right. Lady Syphilis is looking at me like she wants to kill me. You should probably take care of her." I replied, while waving at her.

Seokjin didn't say anything, instead he just left to cater to her. I scoffed at the sight and then went home, since everyone, but me, my family, Seokjin's family, and his band mates, left.

I exited the building and luckily, the paparazzi had left. There was only my driver and the car, waiting for me. "Good morning, ma'am." Driver said jokingly as he opened the door for me.
