Not many have asked me this question; however, I am aware that some people naturally think about it. I always remember what Jesus said to the Pharisees in Luke 5:30-32:
But the Pharisees and their scribes complained to Jesus' disciples, "Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?"
Jesus answered, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
I also recall a powerful story from an ex Korn lead guitarist, Brain Welch. His book, Save Me from Myself, is a wonderful story on how God saved Brain Welch. This man played heavy metal rock songs about sex and drugs. One day he heard his daughter singing one of his songs and realized the example he was setting for her; from that day on he decided to change.
I will leave you with one quote from the book. It was when Welch and his wife went to India to visit the Loadi tribe, "murderous canibals", God told Brain these words:
I'm sending you to the UNTOUCHABLES. Nobody wants THEM, but I DO. Don't be afraid.
Some of you may know that before I was born my mom was told she could not have kids either she or the child would die. She refused to believe that; she told God four times: "if you let me have this child, I will raise it and give it back to You." Thus I was given to be God's Child before I was born as were my siblings. Furthermore, each time one of us was born the doctor would say they have diabetes and again my mom refused to believe it. She had them check again and none of us had it.
I hope this helps answer your question. I am not perfect but God loves me and He will love you too. I have ran from God, I have lied to my parents' face, I have manipulated people, and done many other sins, but my God is forgiving and He never gave up on me.
