Ninjago - War with the Oni

Episode 3 - The Outpost

Three girls, laughing with a scream in the background, an Owl, and two people, one with Golden Energy and one with Dark Energy, then two more people with one possessing blue fire then Caleb heard a gunshot. He woke up immediately with the Sword of the First Spinjitzu Master in his hand as if he was waiting for someone to attack him. "Sir?" said a Golden Oni, snapping Caleb back to reality. "We are ready." he said and left. It took a second for Caleb to put things together before he changed his clothes and head out of his tent. The ninja and the Golden Oni were camping in Plains of Generosity where Gōmon told Caleb about an outpost.

Caleb entered another tent where the rest of the ninja were waiting for him. "Caleb, we searched all of the plains and we found an outpost twenty miles more east." said Blizzare when they saw Caleb came in.

"You're sure they will take him there?" asked a Golden Oni General.

Caleb nodded then said, "With the Caves of Despair being damaged, Gōmon told me of the outpost. They sure will take him there, if not then there will be something that will let us know where he is." he leaned onto the table branching himself with his arms. He hadn't covered from the beatings Gōmon gaved him.

"If we attack immediately, he could take the outpost quickly. They don't have enough to hold it." said a Golden Oni General, everyone agreed with him.

"I don't think so." objected Caleb, everyone looked at him confused. "Knowing him, considering I tortured him and he did the same to me, he will want us to thank they're weak reality is they are others hiding to trap us."

The others looked at each other knowing Caleb knew the enemy better. "So what do we do?" asked Striker.

"We fall for his trap, but once he activates it, we need to get all our soldiers out. I'm going to continue towards the outpost." said Caleb, this made everyone shocked.

"Are you nuts?!" asked Jay.

"You can't go alone." said Cole.

"Karlof thinks you won't make it." said Karlof.

"I agree with Cole, let us come with you." said Lloyd.

Hearing the opinions of his friends, Caleb pondered then said, "Okay, but I'll take only a few, otherwise it'll be harder to hide more." said Caleb. The ninja decided to let Lloyd, Kai and Zane go with Caleb. When they finished deciding, Caleb went to his tent to gear up.

"Caleb?" called Sarah outside his tent.

"Yeah I'm in here." Caleb responded, she entered his tent and she was worried. He hadn't told her about the trial he faced or the dreams he kept having, he didn't want her to be worried for him anymore. He smiled at her assuring her he was okay, then he said, "When we go, please stay here where it is safe. I don't want to lose you too." He hugged her tightly and she looked up to him and kissed him on the check.

"Be safe as well." said Sarah and she walked with Caleb out of his tent then went her own way while Caleb went to find the other ninja.

All the ninja met in Nya's makeshift garage. "I figure since we are going to war, we need brand new equipment and thanks to the Golden Oni technology, I made all of us these." she said the reveal to the rest of them brand new vehicles. There are two helicopters and two jets for the Lightning Ninjas. There are four heavy artillery tanks for the Earth Ninjas. There are four fast and furious bikes for the Ice Ninjas. Then there are three mechs for the Fire Ninjas. "I didn't have enough time to make another mech if it's okay." said Nya while all except her and the Fire Ninjas were claiming vehicles.

"Don't worry, I brought my own wheels." said Caleb. He took a couple steps back then used his energy to create a fast race car with two automatic guns. The other Fire Ninjas climb on their own mechs and all the ninja and the Golden Oni went out for battle. The went longer than the plan suspected but like Caleb said, Gōmon devised a trap that overwhelmed the Golden Oni forcing them to retreat with twelve of the sixteen ninja. "Everyones here?" asked Caleb who began doing a head count. "Me, Lloyd, Kai, Zane, Sarah, wait Sarah?" realized Caleb when he counted. Sarah crept onboard with Lloyd before the fight, not even he noticed. "Sarah, I thought I told you to stay behind."

"I know but you need me here then back there." she said. Caleb didn't know what to do, if he continued, he would risk losing you or if he went back, there goes the plan onto getting to the outpost.

"Alright you can come." said Caleb after awhile. They began traveling to the outpost when it became dark, they didn't lit a fire and the ninja began to take turns to watch.

Sarah woke up the middle of the night to see Caleb sitting up scanning the horizon. "What's wrong?" she asked snapping him back to reality.

"It's nothing." he responded.

"Something is, what?" she pushed him harder.

Caleb knew Sarah didn't like secrets, he took a deep breath then said, "I keep seeing them."

Sarah looked puzzled, "Who?" she said.

"Our old friends, I started seeing them when I went to get the sword and I keep seeing them in my dreams." said Caleb.

Sarah knew what he was talking about. Before the Battle Between Fires, Caleb was a close friend to them before a feud broke out and led to the battle. "They haven't shown up since we got the news." she said, trying to comfort him.

"That doesn't mean they are still doing it somewhere else or in another realm." responded Caleb.

"Then they can't harm us." she said and nestled into Caleb. Caleb looked at her and knew she was right. He thought to himself maybe it was a good idea to bring her.

"I hate to interrupt you guys' beauty sleep, but we're closer than we think." said Kai who was on watch as he woke them up. The ninja followed Kai to where they saw the outpost. It was about two miles away from them. They all looked at eachother then Kai said, "Looks like we are halfway complete."

"Let's hope he is there." said Caleb, feeling his adrenaline come back, he led them towards the outpost hoping their master was there.
