Ninjago - War with the Oni

Episode 5 - Lightning Outpost

Golden Oni and Dark Oni marched to each other and collided. The battle continues to war but when the smoke clears the Dark Oni are victorious. The ninja were at the Lightning Outpost where they heard news of their latest defeat. "They are definitely marching here," said Lloyd.

"We could send some Oni out to hit and run technic." suggested Blizzare.

"We need every Oni we have to make a last stand if need to." responded Lloyd.

"Jay, you were in charge of reading about the Lightning Outpost. What can you tell us about this place." asked Striker.

Jay was caught by surprise and didn't read the book. "Well this is our last defense before they could come and choke us out of the Temple of Gold." he responded.

"We already knew that," said Cole. "We want to know something new."

"Well I have the structure of the outpost. We could use it to find an advantage or weaknesses." said Zane coming to the rescue for Jay.

"Since when did you do that?" asked Nya.

"The day after Jay decided to quit reading the book. Caleb knew this day would come." responded Zane. Then showing the entire structure by projector in his eyes.

"Speaking of that, has any Oni report seeing him?" asked Lloyd. All the ninja shook their heads no.

"We need to find him sooner." said Aaron.

"Karlof has a plan." said Karlof changing the subject back.

"What's your plan?" asked Lloyd.

"The building has weak walls, meaning a couple smashes and it collapses." said Karlof.

"How does this help us?" asked Stormer.

"Because if we make the Dark Oni breached in, we could have every Golden Oni out and we airjitzu out before the building collapses." said Gasly, seeing where Karlof was going. Karlof nodded in agreement.

Lloyd looked at the blueprints Zane revealed. "If we do this, we'll need an escape tunnel. However, we'll lose the outpost by smashing it to the ground." said Lloyd.

"I'm pretty sure he won't mind considering we won't and will lose it." said Jay.

"Is it a good time for me to deliver the message?" asked Striker.

"If it is 'I told you so.' you already delivered it." said Jay.

"Then if we all agreed to Karlof's plan, then we better get started." said Cole, and the rest of the ninja agree.

The Ninja began preparation for the attack, the Earth Ninjas began digging a tunnel using their specific element to remove that same material. Meanwhile, the Ice and Fire Ninjas were damaging the support beans to make it easier to collapse the building. Three of the Lightning Ninjas were preparing the Oni for battle as well as themselves. Jay was skimming the book of the Lightning Outpost to find secret passages or traps waiting to be activated. When everything was finished it began to rain and they could see the Dark Oni marching towards them.

"Is everything ready?" asked Lloyd, checking everything.

"We are ready to go, and the Oni have a way to get out when we engage it." said Striker.

"Does anyone need a box?" joke Blizzare, all the ninja looked at him confused. "What? The breaded kid needed you in that one movie."

"He was a dwarf." said Lloyd.

The Dark Oni charged at the main gate, almost breaking it down. "Let's give them our return fire." said Kai and he and the Fire Ninjas began to rain fire down at the Dark Oni.

This made the Dark Oni even more angry and they began another charge at the main gate. "Did the Fire Ninjas make you too hot? Here, here is a cooldown." said Nya and she and the Ice Ninjas began freezing or pushing the Dark Oni away from the gate.

The Dark Oni didn't stop, they charged at the gate one more time and broke through. "They breach the gate. Tell the Oni to fall back." order Lloyd. The Golden Oni began to enter the tunnels dug while the ninja kept the Dark Oni busy.

The ninja pulled the Dark Oni deeper into the outpost. "It would be a good time to have Caleb." said Jay as he kept blasting Oni after Oni.

"If we want him, we need to find him." said Lloyd.

The ninja were now on the top level and had nowhere to go. "Well, I hope you have a good landing." said Jay. This made the Dark Oni confused. "See ya." shouted Jay as the ninja use airjitzu to fly back down. When they were on the ground, the Earth Ninjas used their elements and spear the outpost causing it to collapse.

When the smoke cleared, there was nothing left of the Lightning Outpost. The ninja looked around to see if there were any survivors but what they saw beyond totally shocked them. There was still a large army of Dark Oni at the front leading them was Gōmon. "He knew." said Lloyd in frustration.

"Now we knew how Caleb felt when he thought he outsmarted him." said Jay. Gōmon smiled at them then turned his army around. "Where's he going?" asked Jay.

"Is he retreating?" asked Griffin.

"No, he is playing with us. We know where he is going next." said Lloyd and the ninja didn't need to ask.

"We'll gather up all our forces left then we'll leave." said Blizzare.

Lloyd nodded and the ninja headed off to find their troops. Lloyd looked down to see his reflection, it reminded him of Caleb. "I guess there is no going back on our decisions." he said as he saw his reflection turn into Caleb.
