Chapter nine.

~Jadon's pov~

Ava hasn't been herself these days. She's easily distracted and doesn't pay attention in training or in the physioroom, she's always tired and has bags under her eyes, she doesn't smile much anymore and isn't as happy as usual. I don't know her that long but the last 8 weeks she's been a part of my life. I like her, I like her a lot and I'll wait till the day I can make her mine. Mason has been messing with her head. He doesn't call her as much as he did in the beginning. She's devastated and I'm here to be her rock, a shoulder to cry on. We've grown close these last weeks and I wouldn't change it for the world. "Hey Jadon? How do I look?" I hear someone say and I look up. "Wow, you look amazing." I say to the girl standing in front of me. She's wearing a emerald green dress with black heels. "Ahw Jadon, your making me blush." I see her cheeks turning pink. "Well what would I say Ava, I have that effect on woman." I flash her a cheeky smile. "Uh huh, then why are you single?" She says, giving me a wink. This girl haha.

~Ava's pov~

"Uh huh, then why are you single?" I say, giving him a wink. I walk away and hear him chuckle. I walk back into my room and look at myself in the mirror. I do look good tho. We're having a dinner tonight with the team and their wags. Amber is going with leo and I'm going with Jadon. It's not like a date, we're just going as friends. It's been complicated since the whole Mason situation. I haven't heard from him as much as in the beginning. It's hard because I can't go to England all of a sudden, just because my boyfriend is acting weird. I talked about it with Jadon and he says that I just have to wait and see. I think that I'm gonna do that. Jadon and I have grown close these last weeks. We spend almost every minute with each other and he became my bestfriend. It's weird because I don't know him that long but we have a type of chemistry I can't really explain. It's like we both wanna be more but we're afraid. Leo and Amber are almost dating and they're so cute. Leo asked her out last week but he hasn't asked her to be his girlfriend yet. "Ey Ava? How do I look?" I hear Jadon scream from the other room. I walk over there and see him standing in a suit. Damn he looks so good. "Please girl, can you stop eyefucking me? I asked you a question." Jadon speaks up. "Uhm, Y-You look great." I say with a stutter. "Just great? By the way you eyefucked me I can tell I look hot." He says smiling. I blush at his comment and walk away. "Are you almost done tho? We need to go soon." Jadon says from the other room. "I'm almost done. Calm your tits!" I shout in frustration. "Your the one with tits here, I only have big d.." Omg Jadon! "Yeah that's enough Jadon." I shout back and I hear him laugh.

We arrive at the restaurant and Jadon opens my car door. I take his hand and step out of the car. He locks the car and we walk inside. "Omg Ava! You look amazing." I hear Amber and Scarlett say in unison. "Girls you two look stunning." I smile at them, giving them both a hug. "Mind if we steal your date for a second?" Amber asks Jadon. I see his cheeks turning pink. Ahw he's blussing, how cute. "Yeah sure, I'll make my way over to Marco and Julian. If you need me I'll be there okay?" He says and I nod in response. "So how are things between you two?" Scarlett asks. "Well there is some flirting here and there." I say smiling, but that smile fades when I think of Mason. "What's going on? I can see that there's something wrong." Amber says in a soft tone. "It's just the whole Mason situation. It pisses me off and it hurts at the same time." I say while we sit down at the table. "I understand. Maybe he's just having a hard time with football and all." Scarlett says and I nod. I see our dates coming our way and each one of us moves a place to the right so they can sit next to they're dates. "Are you okay?" Jadon asks me. I wanna tell him the truth that I'm not okay, but I just simply respond with a yes. Jadon doesn't seem to believe me but he changes the subject.

After dinner we all sit and talk with each other. It's a good evening and I'm glad that I came. It got me out of the bad thoughts that had been running through my mind for the past few days. It's now 11pm and almost everyone had gone home. "Amber I wanna ask you something. Something I wanted to ask you a while now." I hear Leo say. He takes Amber's hands in his and look her right in the eye. "Do you Amber Kiara Walker wanna be my girlfriend?" Leo asks her and I can see the tears form in her eyes. She really likes this boy. "Yes, yes, yes!" She almost yells. They hug each other tight and it's really the cutest thing I've seen all night. We decide to go home after that. "Ava stop. I wanna take a picture in front of this wall." Jadon says while stopping me. I smile at his sudden idea and start posing with him. "One of these is definitely going on insta." He says smiling while throwing his arm around my shoulders.
