Chapter twenty eight.

"We have been sitting by the window for the last thirty minutes, when is she coming home. I wanna smack her across the face." I wine. "Miss Walker, I don't think that's a good idea." Harry, one of the policemen, says. He's the one I told my story to, he's so easy to talk to. "Why not, look at everything she did to me." I say, taking Jadon's hand. "I know, but if you push her or touch her in a wrong way we have to take you with us to the station." He tells me calmly. I simply nod and continue looking out the window. "It will be okay, she will pay for this. I promise." Jadon says, sticking out his pinky. "Really? A pinky promise, what are you 12?" I laugh at him. "Says the one who always has to make a pinky promise otherwise it isn't a promise." He smiles. I stick out my pinky and intertwine it with his. I hear a car door shut and look outside. "Guys, she's back. Mission 'arrest the bitch' has officially started." I say. All the policemen walk to the passage and line up. We hear the front door open and footsteps on the stairs. "Jady boo, I'm home." I cringe at the nickname and laugh when Jadon does too. "What are you doing here?" I hear her ask the policemen. "Ma'am you are under arrest for abuse and planning murder. Everything you say or do can be used against you." Harry tells her while grabbing her arm. "Jadon, Jadon where are you?" She yells. "I'm here." He says walking over to her with me behind him. "You little son of a bitch. You will pay for this, you hear me? You will pay for this." She shouts at me, her veins popping out of her head. "Good luck in prison Emma. I hope they treat you nice." I smile and wave at her while Harry takes her downstairs. He handcuffs her and brings her to the car. She steps in but makes sure to show her middle finger at me one more time. I just wave and laugh it off. "Are you okay?" Jadon asks me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Yeah, are you?" I ask him. "Never better." He smiles and kisses me.

"So you are telling me that she had a whole plan to kill you?" Amber asks me. "Yes she did, we came into the basement of the house and I saw a hidden door. I opened it and saw all these photos of me hanging on the wall. When I looked further I noticed a big white paper with my name written on it. I picked it up and saw the plan. I called the police and they were so nice. One of them even had a therapy session with me, he said 'you have to get it all out at some point'. I smile and look over at Jadon whose head is hanging low. "Jadon? Are you alright?" I ask him, coming closer to him. "It's just that if I never listened to her and stayed with you, none of this would have happend. It's basically all my fault." He says, not daring to look at me. "Hey baby, listen to me. First of all, it isn't your fault that she's psycho. Second of all, I told you that we would try again. I love you and there is no one getting in the way of that anymore. I let it happen once, but I won't let it happen twice." I tell him, caressing his cheek. "Everything works out in the end." I tell him, hopefully cheering him up a bit. "Yeah you're right. I love you Ky." He says and pecks me on the lips. I take him into a hug and smell his scent. Man I can never get enough of that. His arms grip on me a little tighter, but then proceed to let me go. "You and me forever, okay?" I ask him, hope in my eyes. "No." He says and I feel my heart sink. "You and me for eternity." He smiles and I smack his arm. "Hey, what's that for." He whines, taking his arm. "For scaring me." I say, walking away from him. He grabs my hand and twirls me around. "I'm sorry bubba, I won't do it again. You and me for eternity right?" He asks me and I smile. "Yes, you dork. You and me for eternity." I say and kiss his cheek. "Look at them, why can't you be more like Jadon?" Amber says to Leo. He slams his hand on his chest and makes a shocking face. "How could you, you deserve death. The tickle death." Before Amber can reply Leo's on top of her tickling her everywhere. "Lieeeee, please stoppppp! She laughs, but Leo doesn't stop. "Lie pleaseeee." She screams. "Then say that I treat you just like Jadon." He laughs. "Fine, fine! You treat me just like Jadon." She yells. "Thanks babe, you didn't have to say that." He kisses her and she gives him a glare. "Teen romance." I say and Jadon and I shake our heads.
