Trigger warnings: Suicidal thoughts, Mentions of suicide, Attempted suicide

~~~~
Just as I was about to take my shoes off on the rooftop there I see
Peter walks up the stairs of the school, towards the roof. He sighs and opens the door. He starts walking towards the edge, and starts to lean down to take his shoes off.
A girl with braises hair before me
Before he could take them off, he spots a figure by the edge. He looks up and sees a girl in his year, who he shared his English class with. Her usual braided hair was flying behind her in the wind, as she stares down at the road below them.
Despite myself, I go and scream
Peter couldn't believe it. He felt so angry that she was here, surely she didn't deserve to die. Not like this. So Peter shouts:
"Hey, don't do it please!"
The girl's head moves to look behind her, spotting Peter behind her, her eyes slightly widened. He guessed that she didn't want someone to know, not until she did it.
Woah, wait a minute what did I just say? I couldn't care less either way
Peter was confused. Why did he shout that? He barely knew her, and it wasn't like he would be around long enough to actually grieve her death anyway.
To be honest, I was somewhat pissed this was an opportunity missed
Although Peter knew he shouldn't, he couldn't help but feel angry. Today was the perfect day for him to do what she was going to attempt. What a waste of a day.
The girl with braided hair told me her woes, you've probably heard it all before
The girl walks towards him, who watches her carefully, unsure of what she was about to say. She then starts to explain to him:
"I really thought that he might be the one, but then he told me he was done."
Peter couldn't believe it, she was doing this just because her boyfriend dumped her? That was no reason to end a life! So he exclaimed:
"For god's sake, please! Are you serious? I just can't believe, that for some stupid reason you got here before me!"
The girl was shocked by peter's outburst, but what shocked her most was that the cheerful boy she always saw in class had come up here to do what she was going too. He seemed so happy, and seemed as though he had a good life.
"Are you upset, 'cause you can't have what you wanted? You're lucky that you've never gotten robbed of anything!"
The girl listens to him sadly. She had never seen this side of him, so determined and broken. He didn't deserve this, and he was right, she shouldn't do this.
"I'm feeling better thank you for listening." The girl with braided hair then disappeared.
Peter watched as the girl left, and he sighed. He then smiles slightly at the thought of helping at least one more person before he would do this. But, today was not the day, so he too left.
"Alright today's the today!" Or so I thought.
Peter nodded determinedly as he got up the steps to the school's roof. He pushes the door open, and starts tugging his shoes off, hopping along the way.
Just as I was about to take both shoes off, there was a girl as short as can be
Peter spots someone else was there, and he clenches his jaw. He stands up properly and shakes his head in dismay. There was a small girl who he had seen around the school, she didn't seem to have many friends.
