Chapter 36 - Comfortable by H.E.R.

Jennie's POV

It rained last night. It's a little chilly inside my room. So I snuggled closer into Lisa's chest.

I'm awake but I wanted to revel with the warmth of Lisa's body next to mine. I feel so satisfied. Lisa and I under the covers, cuddling.

I was supposed to drift off again to sleep when my phone rang.

Do I have to work today? My phone line was never vacated. There's always incoming calls and I sometimes just want to turn it off. Or maybe just today.

But since I didn't want to wake Lisa up, I reached for my phone and saw that Jisoo unnie is face timing me.

I removed myself from Lisa's grasps and slowly sat on the bed with my back on the headboard.

I wish I still looked decent even though I just woke up. I answered the call and was about to happily greet my cousin when I noticed that her attention wasn't on mine but with someone else.

Jisoo unnie is distracted with whoever is talking. Then I realized it was Chaeng's voice.

"I haven't talked to Lisa yet. I bet she's in Thailand now and hasn't even called me. I told her I wanna come and visit her. That girl must be heartbroken with your cousin."

Huh. They're talking about Lisa and I. I cleared my throat to get Jisoo unnie's attention.

And she was shocked to see that I already answered. I heard Chaeng was supposed to say more when Jisoo unnie cut her off.

"Uhmm, hi Jendeuk!" She said in a louder voice, probably signaling Rosé to shut up whatever it is she will be saying.

"Hi, unnie! How are you? Why did you call?" I asked, pretending I didn't heard what her girlfriend was talking about.

"Oh, I'm fine Jendeuk. Chaeng's with me by the way." Rosé then popped beside my cousin and waved at me. I smiled back. "Just calling to know if you're okay though?"

"Of course I am okay." Just then Lisa woke up. Eyeing my phone. Probably wondering who I am talking to this early.

I mouthed her 'Jisoo' and she nodded. She looked so beautiful with her disheveled bangs sticking up her forehead.

"Are you really? Uncle called appa."

Oh.

So my dick of a dad even made his call all the way back to Korea. Great. Just great.

"That."

"Yeah, that."

I was a wreck last night. I feel a little better than I was last night. Because mom called and Lisa is here with me. And here is my dear sweet cousin checking up on me. Though I still feel a little angry at the words dad has said to me.

"I was shaken last night. But mom called and assured me."

"Auntie also called and I had to hear from her that you were drugged. How could you not tell me things like these?!"

Ohh, she's mad.

Lisa might've felt the tension from the other line that she decided to slowly slip off the bed, that it made the mattress bounce a little.

Before I could stop myself, I asked her, "Eodi ka?" (Where are you going?)

Lisa faced me slowly trying to point the bathroom. But before she can go, Jisoo unnie was berating on the other line.
