I woke up at 8 o'clock and headed down stairs Barry following me. I walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bottle of water and sitting on the table. As I'm sat Barry is stood at the foot of the door waiting to be let out. I stand up and let him out sitting in the garden with him for a while. It's soon nine o'clock so I head out the front door and down the next street to Katie's.
I knock on the door and step back, waiting for an answer. I soon hear foot steps coming from inside the house, so she was in. I hear the noise of the door unlocking and the chain being removed. The door slowly creaking open a jar. I hear her sigh as she sees me. she goes to shut the door again but I put my foot in the way stopping her. "Please just let me be" She mumbles. "I will when you tell me what's the matter" I say my voice in a stern tone. I hear her step back from he door so I push it open and step inside. "I'm not going anywhere till you tell me, even if we're here all day" I say following her to the front room. "Look I don't want to talk about it so why can't you just leave it at that?" She says whipping her head round to look at me. "Because I care about you and your clearly not okay". I say with bold voice.
"You really want to know?" she shouts pacing up and down her front room. I nod my head allowing her to go on. "My dad, that's what the issue is" she says looking at me. "He's out of prison and he's probably going to come after me" she shouts before flinging a cup that was on the fire place, shocking me. I have never seen her this way. I stand up and grab her by the shoulders trying to calm her down. I can feel her shaking and her breathing heavily. "Your going to be fine" I say trying to reassure her. "No I'm not, I have to get away from the uk before he finds me" she says as her voice breaks slightly and tears start to fall down her eyes. "You can't just leave because of someone else" I exclaim "please stay and I'll keep you safe, I promise". She shakes her head "Don't promise that please, it's not your responsibility to look out for me. you have better things to be doing than looking out for me" she says looking down. "No I will because I care for you and I want to be there for you" I whisper pulling her into a hug. "Per.." she says but I cut her off "Look we will talk about this tomorrow, right now I want to make you happy, I hate seeing people upset." She pulls out of my chest and wipes her eyes on the sleeve of her jumper.
After about an hour of sitting on her couch she gets up and walks to the kitchen. She had been gone 10 minuets so I got up and walked to see were she had gone. As I walk into the kitchen I see her sat on the bench from the kitchen window. I walked out side trying not to startle her. I looked at her but she just looked emotionless. She looked drained and tired. "You haven't slept have you?" I question. She looks at me shaking her head. "I can't, every time I close my eyes I see him watching me" She stutters. "Look why don't you try and get some sleep for a couple of hours and I'll come back see you later make sure your okay?" I question. "I'll try" she whispers as I offer her my hand to walk back inside. When she gets into her living room she walks to the basket down the side of the couch and pulls out her blanket. She grabs a pillow and curls up on the couch. "Please try and sleep" I say looking down to her. She didn't reply but nods. I wait till she closes her eyes and after a couple of minuets eventually leave. I just hope she will stay asleep, she needs it.
