I want Daniel to be my new duet partner

Riley's POV:

I arrived at the studio nice and early because I wanted to speak to Miss Kate before everyone else arrived I placed my bag and hoodie into my locker as Miss Kate walked in she smiled at me and said 'Riley your here early, is everything alright' I nodded and said 'I wanted to speak to you before everyone else arrived'. Miss Kate unlocked her office door and said 'Sure come on in' I followed Miss Kate into her office and sat down opposite her she smiled and said 'So what can I do for you' I took a deep breath and said 'Me and James have broken up and I can't do the duet with him, I want Daniel to be my new duet partner' Miss Kate hugged me and said 'I can see how much it upset you yesterday in rehearsal, of-course you can change partners. Do you think you and Daniel will have the same sort of Chemistry'. 

I smiled and said 'Yeah I think we will do, would you be able to tell James for me' Miss Kate nodded and said 'Yeah of-course. Ah Daniel could I borrow you for a second' Daniel walked into Miss Kate's office and said 'Is everything alright' Miss Kate smiled and said 'Yes Riley has some good news for you'. I stood up and said 'Daniel would you like to be my new duet partner'.

Daniel's POV:

I couldn't believe it Riley wanted me to be her new Duet partner, I smiled and said 'Riley that's amazing I would love to be your duet partner' Miss Kate smiled and said 'Brilliant, you two can use the music room this afternoon to practice', I nodded and said 'Thank you Miss Kate' myself and Riley walked out of Miss Kate's office and started warming up for this morning's rehearsals. 

Whilst I was warming up West walked over and said 'How was your date with Riley last night' I smiled and said 'Yeah it was good' out of the corner of my eye I saw Miss Kate talking to James in her office, West looked at me and said 'What do you think that's about'. I took a deep breath and said 'I'll tell you but you need to keep it to yourself, Riley has asked me to be her new partner for the nationals duet' West smiled and said 'That's great I'm really happy for you Daniel'. 

Riley's POV:

Rehearsals went really quickly this morning I was just about to head down to culture shock for some lunch when Emily approached me and said 'Hey do you fancy grabbing some lunch together, I'd love to hear all about your date last night with Daniel' I grabbed my hoodie and said 'That would be great I'm starving'. As we sat in Culture shock waiting for our food Emily smiled and said 'So how did last night go' I poured my juice into my glass and said 'It was really nice he took me to the botanical gardens and we had a picnic and just talked', Emily nodded and said 'Aw that's so sweet, you do seem much happier today'. 

I pushed my fringe from my eyes and said 'I told Miss Kate about me and James and I said that I wanted to change Duet partners' Emily smiled and said 'So who have you chosen' I looked down at my hands and said 'Um I've chosen Daniel, I really feel like there's a connection between us. I think I love him Emily'. Emily hugged me and said 'I think you and Daniel would be perfect together, you'll know when the times right because you'll feel it in your heart' after having lunch we made our way back up to studio A for afternoon rehearsals Michelle walked over to me and said 'Riley we're going to be going over the small group and male solo this afternoon, so if you and Daniel want you can use the music room to work on your duet'. 

I looked over at Daniel and said 'Yeah that would be great thank you Michelle' myself and Daniel left studio A and walked down the corridor to the music room where we started coming up with concepts for our Nationals duet and in the end we decided on a ballet style and the concept was that Daniel was a prince and I was his princess who's come back to life. 

Daniel's POV:

I'd never realised how amazing Riley was when she danced in her pointe shoes she was just incredible and although we still had a-lot of work to do on this duet I was already looking forward to showing Miss Kate and the others and also performing it at Nationals. Before we went home we ran through the routine one last time and as we did the partnered turn sequence Riley stopped and looked at me and we both instantly felt a connection between us we leaned in until our lips crashed together and we kissed for the first time. 

I looked down at the floor and said 'I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that it's too soon' Riley gently took my left hand and said 'No Daniel it's fine, look there's something I need to tell you. I love you and I think I always have done', Daniel placed his right hand on my waist and said 'And I've always loved you as-well Riley, can I kiss you again' Riley nodded and said 'I was hoping you'd ask that'. 

Jame's POV:

I decided to stay at the studio and get in some extra dance time I walked down the corridor towards the music room, I walked in and saw Riley and Daniel kissing I shouted 'What are you doing kissing Riley'. Riley turned to me and said 'James there is nothing between me and you anymore, I will never forgive you for what you did. I love Daniel and there is nothing you can do to change that' I stepped up to Riley and got right in her face before saying 'Your both deserve each-other, your both rubbish dancers and you Riley your just pathetic'. 

Daniel stepped in between me and Riley and pushed me back before saying 'Leave her alone James' I left the music room without looking back.

Riley's POV:

I watched as James walked out of the music room once he was gone I felt a wave of emotion come over me I sat down on the bench, Daniel sat down beside me and said 'Don't listen to him Riley your an amazing dancer and your definitely not pathetic. Come on I'll give you a lift home' I hugged Daniel tight and said 'Thank you for everything Daniel'. 

Once I got home I went upstairs and had a nice hot bubble bath after which I got out and changed into my nice warm pj's and dressing gown, I made my way downstairs and made myself something to eat Emily was sat in the living room with Hunter. As I made my way back upstairs Emily stopped me and said 'How did rehearsals with Daniel go' I smiled and said 'It went really well we've come up with a concept and a routine, I think we're planning on showing everyone tomorrow morning' Emily nodded and said 'I can't wait to see it, is everything else ok Riley'. 

I ran a finger over my lips still feeling the kiss on them and said 'Me and Daniel had our first kiss, and we told each-other we love each-other' Emily came over and hugged me and said 'Riley that's fantastic I'm so happy for you, do you want to join us we're just about to watch a movie'. I smiled and said 'Thanks but I'm quite tired I think I'm just going to go and chill in bed' Emily smiled back and said 'Ok if your sure, night Riley'.
