seonghwa gripped his own hair as angry tears fell from his eyes. it had been a few days since wooyoung told him and hongjoong about what happened to him, and ever since, seonghwa had been feeling a suffocating feeling of anger.

he was currently curled up in bed, trying his best not scream out of pure rage. tears continued falling as he put his hands over his face.

seonghwa hated seeing his kids get hurt.

it was inevitable, he knew that, but knowing that someone else had the nerve to inflict physical and mental pain on his child without caring about the affects of their actions, it infuriated the parent.

suddenly, he felt a hand start rubbing his back, a feeling of relief finally coming over him.

"i'm still so pissed..."

"i know. i am too." hongjoong said and sighed.

the younger then walked to the other side of the bed, sitting next to seonghwa and pulling him up next to him, then wrapping his arms around him.

"try not to think about that other kid. he's going to get the consequences he deserves. for now, let's focus on helping wooyoung heal. yunho says he's been better since it first happened, but he still needs our help." hongjoong said calmly.

seonghwa nodded, feeling relieved from hongjoong's reassurance.

he then had a quick thought.

yunho.. how even is yunho?

their oldest never really seemed bothered by anything, he worked hard in school, he was always there for his brothers, everything seemed fine.

maybe we should check on him? he thought.

parenting six teenagers was hard. seonghwa knew that the teenager-young adult stages would be much harder than their toddlers stages, in fact he missed when they were all three feet tall and couldn't go a few minutes without screaming about something.

seonghwa could feel his overwhelming parental anxiety still in his chest. he felt tense.

what if yunho is stressed, what if yeosang doesn't feel well, what if san is secretly unhappy, what if mingi is depressed, what if wooyoung doesn't heal, what if jongho relapses, what if, what if, what if..

the words "what if" felt like a curse.

what the parent didn't know was that his oldest child had the same kinds of "what if" questions running through his own mind.

they shared a similar anxiety, one that came from their love for their family.

those questions always occupied their minds, and they didn't know how to get rid of it. seonghwa had hongjoong to go to and to find comfort in, while yunho's way to feel relieved was to constantly check up on everyone to make sure everything was okay.

is this anxiousness normal? yunho thought.

yunho placed the pizza boxes down on the kitchen counter, as san excitedly put down a stack of paper plates for everyone.

they were in time they had every week—where both of their parents' work hours overlapped, leaving the kids alone at home for a few hours to run errands and get dinner by themselves.

the oldest had ordered pizza for everyone, and they were about to start eating.

each boy came to take a few pieces before they all sat at the dinner table and began eating happily.
