Class the next day was almost painful. Sadie wouldn't even look at me let alone talk to me. I spent the first period miserable. And it only made it worse that her assigned seat was right next to mine so she had absolutely no excuse to why she wouldn't talk to me. When the bell rang she stormed out of the class room quickly. I ran after her but once I got out of the room I couldn't find her.

I sighed then shuffled to my next class. I had just taken out my book for silent reading when some one sat next to me. I looked up. It was Pierce. I almost passed out. I had almost forgotten that he sat next to me in this class.

He looked up at me and gave me a half smile. "Hey Eliana. Are we still up for tonight?"

I chewed on my bottom lip. Maybe Sadie was right. Maybe I shouldn't go out with a total stranger. But he didn't feel like a stranger. Pierce noticed my hesitation.

"What's wrong?" He looked worried.

I sighed. "Nothing." I smiled at him. "And yeah we're still on for tonight. That is if you still want to." I laughed nervously.

"Of course." He said looking at me intently."Who would pass that up." I blushed and looked away.

Pierce sat with me in all my classes and during lunch. I have no idea how he got into every one of my classes. When Sadie and I tried to get into all the same classes all we got was 3 classes, and a lecture on focussing on education. But Pierce was much cuter then Sadie and I combined.

When I got home I ran upstairs to get ready for our date even though it wasn't until 5. Maggie blinked as I flew past her in my hurry to get upstairs.

"Wheres the fire?" She yelled after me. I ran upstairs and into my room. I shut the door and walked to my closet. While my foster family wasn't that bad off I still didn't have the "latest styles" so I went through all my clothes until I settled on skinny jeans, boots, and a red tank top.

I walked to my mirror and looked at myself. I took out my ponytail and combed my fingers through my hair. I was envious of the girls with naturaly curly hair but I didn't hate my flat, straight, red hair. A knock on the door interupted my thoughts it was my foster sister Kara.

She looked at me strangely when I opened the door. "Why are you all dressed up? Have a hot date?" She asked jokingly.

"Actually I do." She looked at me doubtfully.

"Uh-hu. Who with?" I had never been on a date before, considering I wasn't the most popular kid in school it wasn't a surprise.

"Well he's new. His name is Pierce." Her eyes widened.

"You're kidding me. There is no way you got a date with him. Thats, thats." But she never got to finish the thought because the doorbell rang. I looked at the clock. It was exactly 5.

"That should be him right now." I smiled at her and grabbed my purse. Then I ran downstairs with Kara trailing right behind me. By the time we got downstairs Maggie had already opened the door and was staring open mouthed at Pierce. Kara had a simular expression as I pushed past her and Maggie to the open door. Pierce smiled at me when I met his gaze.

"Maggie I'm leaving." I said, getting her attention. She snapped out of it.

"Oh. Yeah. Okay." She said as Pierce walked me to his car. He opened my door for me and I got in.

After he got in the car I asked. "So. Where are we going."

He looked at me with a sly smile on his lips. "It's a surprise."

I looked at him cautiously. "I don't like surprises." I said nervously. "Can't you just tell me?"

"That would ruin the point of the surprise wouldn't it." He was full on grinning now, and honestly it was a bit contagious. I couldn't help but smile sofly back at him.

He ended up pulling into the parking lot of a small diner I've never been to before. It must have been new because 4 months ago sadie and I went to every resturaunt in the city so we could check it off of our bucket list.

When Pierce and I walked through the doors I was hit by the heavenly aroma of chocolate and my mouth watered. The place was packed and we had to find a table at the very back of the restuarant. We sat down and I picked up a menu and looked at it.

"So what are you getting?" Pierce asked. I looked up expecting him to be looking at his own menu but was startled to find him staring directly at me.

I looked at the menu again. "I'm not that hungry so I think I'll just get a sundae. What about yo--"

But I was cut off when a waitress walked up to us. "What can I get for ya?" She asked Pierce, completely ignoring me. Pierce looked at me.

"You order first." He told me and the waitress glanced at me seeming to notice me for the first time.

"I'll just get an oreo sundae." I told her. She jotted it down and turned back to Pierce.

"I'll get the same." He smiled at the waitress as she took our menu's and returned to the kitchen. As my eyes followed her back to the kitchen I saw a familiar blonde head poke up from a boothe across the diner.

It was Sadie! She had followed me when I specifically told her not to! She hadn't talked to me all day and she had the nerve to show up on my date like this. I had trusted her and she ignored me. She is or was my only friend and if I couldn't trust her I had nobody. I wasn't just mad I was infuriated. I told her not to. I TOLD HER NOT TO! How dare she! A voice in my head screamed. I tried to quiet the voice but it was to late. The voice no the animal was coming out. My body started spasming as I tried to keep the monster in. I couldn't move, or talk, or even breathe. Let me out! The monster cried. Then I felt strong arms pick me up and bring me outside. I was carried to a small park surrounded by trees and dropped just in time. I exploded.

Then it was calm and the spasms racking my body slowed then stopped. But it was no longer my body It was now the body of an animal. A jaguar.
