Chapter 2

When the bell rang Sadie stormed out of the room. I followed quickly, glancing back at Pierce as we left. In the hall Sadie was ahead of me. Man she was moving quickly! She's never this fast even on taco day at lunch. When I finally caught up with her I grabbed her shoulder and she turned to face me with an annoyed look on her face.

"What?" She asks.

"Whats your problem?" I ask.

"What are you talking about." She looks around. She kept figeting and she looks nervous.

"Why are you rushing to class and why are you so nervous. Whats going on?"

"What!" She looked alarmed "Nothings going on I'm just, just, just..." She looked around. "Just worried about getting to class on time. Yeah thats it." She says looking relieved to have come up with some sort of excuse.

"Uh-hu." I didn't buy a word. "Sure you are. How stupid do you think I am? You're never worried about getting to class on time in fact you're usually telling me to slow down."

"Well what else do you think is going on." She stopped avioding my eyes and looked straight at me.

"Do you know what I think?" I ask. She looked at me intently. "I think you know Pierce from somewhere." She looked panicked suddenly.

"No! No! What would make you think that? I've never seen him before in my life!" She practically yelled. Which just told me that she really did know him.

"Ah Ha! You do know him. What did you do date him?" She suddenly looked very appalled.

"Ew! No! That's disgusting." She looked disgusted. How? He was amazing. I would be proud just to have a history with him. She shivered but it didn't look like the shiver of pleasure I got when I looked at Pierce it was more like the shiver I got when I found moldy cheese at the back of the fridge. What was wrong with her?

"What are you talking about." I looked at her as if she had sprouted a third head. "How can Pierce disgust you? He's like the god of all super models."

"Then you obviously don't know what you're talking about. And besides I've seen better."

I look at her questioningly. "Where? Heaven?"

"No." She sniffed. "If you must know Winsconsin."

"Uh-hu. And what was this dream guys name?"

"Umm... Albert?" It sounded more like a question then an answer. I rolled my eyes. Then the 1 minute bell rang. She looked at me. "Well... Gonna be late. Bye." then she darted to her class while I trudged to english.

I had just gotten inside the room when the bell rang and the teacher gave me a look that said "Next time" I walked to the back of the room and sat down. "Okay class." the teacher started. "Today..." He was interupted when Pierce walked into the room.

"Sorry I'm late. I got a bit lost." He said appoligeticly.

"It's okay young man just take a seat and pay attention" So Pierce sat in the only empty seat in the room. The seat next to me. You had to feel sorry for him.

He slid his back pack off his shoulders and sat down. I was going to hyperventilate. Deep breathes, deep breathes. Calm, be calm. We're good. Okay. I focused back on Pierce he was saying something.

"Hi I'm Pierce. What's your name?" He smiled at me.

"I know. I mean hi. I-I-I mean..." I was so nervous. And now I had made a total fool of myself in front of the most gorgeous boy on the entire planet. I'm dead. And then he started laughing.

"You're funny." He smiled at me. "But, seriously. What's your name." He looked at me expectantly.

"Um. Eliana?" It sounded like a question. And it was, it was the question to why he was even talking to me. Me. No one liked to talk to me. Well except for Sadie. But that was different.

"Well Eliana. I like you. How about you go out to dinner with me tomorrow night?" I gasped and he backpedaled. "You know stictly as friends." I was speechless. It was too good to be true.

"You're serious?" I ask. He nodded.

"Of course." He said.

"Okay then."

"It's a date." He said, I looked away akwardly.
