A Promise (A RWBY Fanfic)

Chapter 7 - JNPR

Coal's POV:

I watch as Pyrrha the so called invincible girl completely demolishes team CARD. I look over to Mercury and he looks to me. We both nod to each other, turning back to Glynda.

Glynda: And that's the match. Well done, Ms. Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, professor.

Glynda: Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow, but we have time for one more. Any volunteers, Ms. Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -

Coal: (Rases hand) I'm down to fight... All of team JNPR.

Glynda: Are you sure Mr. Vermilion?

Coal: Of course I am, I've been look'n for a challenge.

Glynda: Then let's begin.

I jump in the ring as the rest of team JNPR dose the same. I take a laid back stance well they get in fighting position.

Glynda: 3. 2. 1. Begin!

As they run at me I charge up shadows in my arms. I fire off the shadows hitting both Nora and Pyrrha. The blast sending them back to there end of the arena. Both of there auras staying in the green well Nora's was a little lower the Pyrrha's. I start swing Desolation at Ren and Jaune. Ren dodging skillfully and Jaune blocking with his shield.

Charging up some shadows in my legs I pull Desolation back, wrapping it around my arm. Ren changing as soon as I do. Firing his guns as he approaches. Using shadows I block the shots well running at him. When we meet he tries to slash me multiple times. I dodge them as I in case my hands in shadows. He jabs his weapons at me and I catch there blades.

I pull his weapons towed me and down. As he tries to pull them back I kick him in the face, shooting the shadows out of my leg. The force throwing him back in to Jaune and taking the two past Pyrrha and Nora. Ren losing half of his aura and Jaune only going down a sliver.

Pyrrha then launches Nora at me with her shield. Pyrrha firing at me as Nora flys towed me. Blocking the shots white shadows I shoot at Nora with Ren's weapons. As she's hit she fires of some grenades. Summoning a dome of shadows around me Nora falls hitting the ground hard. The explosions hit and I disperse the shadows. Before the dust settles I fire off again hoping to hit one of them.

My aura hasn't moved. Nora's was in the yellow, Ren's was in the yellow, Pyrrha was still in the green but lower then that last time I checked, Jaune was still the same. So that blind fire hit Pyrrha. I try firing again but all I got was a click. With that Jaune charges at me well Pyrrha keeps firing. I use Ren's weapons to block Jaune's attack and multiple shadows to block the bullets. As I'm blocking Jaune's attacks I charge up shadows in my arms and my leg.

Shit! Nora's charging me. I block one more round of bullets and a thrust before I punch Jaune, the shadows sending him back. I turn back and block a over head strike from Nora. I then drop kick her, the shadows in my legs firing off. As I hit the ground I roll backwards and on to my feet. Well this is fun. Nora was on the brink of hitting red and Jaune's was going down to be about equal with Pyrrha's.

I throw Ren's weapons at him, but he cetches them and charges as dose the rest of his team. I jump into the air, balling up and summon shadows with in me. As I they get closer and I start falling I release the pent up shadows throwing all of them back. Nora and Ren being knocked out with Pyrrha in the yellow just above Jaune's aura.

I launch Desolation at Jaune wrapping it around him and pulling myself to him. As I fly at him I charge up shadows in my leg and arm. When I get to him I punch him in the face before dropping down and sweeping his legs. As he falls I get up and elbow him firing the shadows making him hit the ground even harder. After he hits the ground I kick him firing off the shadows making him skid across the floor. And with that the knight is knocked out. Pyrrha runs at me launching her spear at me as she dose. I guess I should take some damage. The spear hits my side and Pyrrha gets to me, kicking me in the chest.
