Chapter 38 | Love or War

The Oberoi family was sitting in the hall lost in thoughts when Mr.Chopra entered the mansion.

"Mr.Chopra, did you find something about Tia?!" Shivaay asked running to him when he noticed someone behind him.
"Daksh..." Shivaay muttered to himself while the owner of the name smirked at him.
"Why are you here?!" Shivaay asked rudely looking at him when Mr.Chopra answered, "For me."

"Mr.Chopra, please sit. We wer..." Anika could no longer speak as she saw the man whom she never wanted to see again. It was indeed an unpleasant day for them.

Settling himself, Mr.Chopra spoke "Daksh will stay in the Oberoi mansion."
"This is random, why would he stay in my house!?" Shivaay raised his voice.
"Shivaay, it is not random. You are the prime suspect in my daughter's missing case. Till she is found, I want Daksh to stay here. I don't trust you!" Mr.Chopra spoke again.

"Uncle, you should keep an eye on the Oberoi family!" Daksh told and Mr.Chopra hummed in response.
"I strongly feel that Shivaay is behind Tia's kidnapping!" He spoke again to which Mr.Chopra nodded saying, "You are staying with the Oberois. You will keep an eye on them and keep me posted on their movements."

"But how can I uncle?! Shivaay won't allow me." Daksh told when he said back, "I will take care of that, you don't worry!"

Shivaay protested Mr.Chopra's decision but he never listened. He used his only weapon of blackmailing Shivaay with the fake videos against Anika's father.

"How can I let him stay?! Anika wouldn't feel comfortable, and moreover I can't take the risk of Daksh staying around my wife!" Shivaay thought to himself when Anika spoke, "We can manage Shivaay! You are there with me, he can't do anything!"

"Can you get my file from the cupboard Mrs.?!" Shivaay asked working with his laptop.
"Say please Mr." Anika ordered and he looked at her in disbelief.
"This is not fair." He said to which she answered, "Everything is fair in love and war!"
"Is this love or war?!" He asked desperately waiting for her answer when she said chuckling, "I let you decide."

"War!" He said loudly wanting her to hear him and muttered to himself, "Love!"
"I heard that! You can say it a bit louder though!" Anika smiled handing him over the file.
"You love annoying me, don't you?!" He asked when she nodded frantically in response.

"Your please is also in my bucket list. I will hear it from you someday!" she folded her hands and closed her eyes as she spoke again, "God, help me finish my bucket list!" 
"I will!" saying he kissed her cheek making her blush.

At the dining, Anika was setting the food when she felt someone standing behind her.

"What do you want Daksh?!" She asked not turning to the person behind.
"You!" She heard a voice shocking her.
"I was kidding, you know." He laughed as she glared at him, "This is not funny Mr.Daksh Khurana!"
"Let me say you the truth then, I wasn't kidding." He said walking closer to her.

"Anu!" Sid called out to her and walked towards the dining.
"Is my Aloo Puri ready?!" He asked much excited to which Anika simply nodded, thinking of Daksh's words.
"I will come back in ten minutes Sid, if you don't mind can you arrange the table for me?" She asked and he nodded, "Sure, anything for my Anu." to which she smiled.

She left from there and Daksh was about to go behind her when Sid called out to him, "Hey you are Daksh, right?! Help me set the table."
"I'm a guest, I don't know how..." Before Daksh could say any further, "You know how to eat right? Then setting the table is easier than that! Come on man." saying Sid dragged him to the kitchen.

Anika wasn't feeling any good that night. She slept with much difficulty, not letting her husband know that something was bothering her. The clock struck half past three early that morning and she woke up with a jerk calling out to her husband, "Shivaay!"

"Anika?!" Shivaay panicked seeing his wife in a vulnerable state.
"Everything is fine, must be a bad dream." He pacified her taking her in his arms.
"Shiv... Shivaay! That dollar..." Her voice choked as she tried speaking.
"Silent, first drink this water." Her husband ordered giving her a glass of water while she drank it without uttering another word.

Taking some time, he asked "Tell me Anu, what happened?!"
"That dollar with "A" symbol belongs to Daksh. He had it with him when he was in college!" She said and Shivaay's eyes widened in shock.
"There is still a possibility that it can belong to someone else but he has the same dollar with him too!" She spoke again.
"We need to find out if he still has his dollar or not." Shivaay said and she nodded.

"The symbol 'A' in that dollar means Anika you know!" Anika told smiling slyly and Shivaay hollered, "I won't spare him!"
