I've been here for a little over a week and we've done nothing so far. Im starting to miss home.

He says a friend and her daughter are coming to stay they arrive in a few days. Im nervous to meet them though because in movies the dad's always say that and the friend turns out to be the financè and I really hope that not the case.

"Adrienne!" I hear my father yell.

"Breakfats is ready!" He shouts.

"Ok, coming" I shout back.

I walk down stairs to find a plate of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and a small bowl of fruit.

I smile and sit.

"Mom never cooks." I say with a frown.

"Well I cook all the time, I had to learn considering the circumstances." He replies.

"What circumstances?" I ask, afraid of what he might she.

"You'll see." He says with a smirk.

We begin to eat, I think of what he said and I begin to worry.

When we finish I take the dishes to the sink and help clean up. He washes the dishes even though I offer.

I take the trash to the garbage outside. As I walk I notice a boy sitting down by the lake, so I walk down to him.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Yes I'm fine, I just like looking down at the water." He replies.

"May I sit with you?" I ask with a smile.

He turns, "I don't see why not." He answers.

I sit down next to him and look down at the water.

"I'm Adrienne." I say

"Cool, I'm Daniel." He replies.
