I would be lying if I said that it wasn't a tough week for Aizawa. He's been keeping a close eye out for Kaori because he convinced himself that she was hiding something. But what.
"Um Sir?", his eyes dragged to the side to see who was trying to gain his attention only to find out it was one of his students. He gradually forgets that he's a teacher sometimes. It's the lack of sleep catching up to him.
"Yes?", the student pointed to a question on their paper and he mentally sighed. Wasn't the answer obvious.
"I think this question had a typo", said the student.
Knowing that it wasn't a typo he thought about where the student may have been confused. Again. Wasn't it obvious.
"I'll help you over here Sero. What question is it?", Kaori asked.
Her.
"Question number 17"
The lies.
"Think about it this way. Your on a cliff and-", her words grew quieter the more she talked, as if his ears went mute from hearing her speak.
He saw her lips moving, but he couldn't hear her. Was this a good thing or a bad thing. He wasn't a fan of her talking, but at the same time was always curious to what she's saying.
Guilty.
"And just like that you have two answer choices, ok? Process of elimination bud. Go back to your seat and see if you can pick the right one", she patted him on the back and smiled as he walked back to his desk.
How can she be so fake. What was her secret.
"You can stop looking at me like that", she scoffed. She wasn't dumb. Anybody would be able to tell that Aizawa was off, but only she knew why. He knows to much according to her.
"I see you talked to Bakugo yesterday. If you came here two weeks ago as planned then you could've prevented last week quarrel with him and Midoriya", he spoke.
She felt guilty enough that she came back late, but she was taking care of business. Plus she brought it up with Principle Nezu, so she's not in any real trouble. Just a grumpy colleague who disagrees with her choices.
"So not only did you try to kill me over this, but you want to consistently pick at me for it at work too? And just when I thought I couldn't hate you more", she said rolling her eyes aggressively.
"You told me one thing and I ended up waiting longer. How else do you expect me to react. This is a job Kaori"
"I brought it up with Nezu, so why does it even matter to you", she retorted back.
Why did it matter. Because he knows that she's no good. Because he wants her to hold accountability. Because he somewhat needed her here. What was the answer.
"Tch. Your not fooling anybody", that was his response. Out of all the things he could've said...it was that she wasn't fooling anyone. Even though he was fooled.
Did she even talk this over with Nezu like she said. Why was he so doubtful of every word she spoke.
"I'm coming over to your house tonight and we're gonna talk this out. I'll be there around 7:00", after she demanded her visit she went back to grading papers, like she was doing previously.
I hate this.
Aizawa P.O.V
What am I feeling right now. Stressed? Annoyed? Frustrated? All I know is that I don't want her at my house, but she didn't really leave me much of a choice.
Sure I can say no, but...I want to know what she has to say. What excuse can she come up with. I already know that she's misleading.
If she's been using Yamada to distract me then she must know that I'm observant. I can use that to my advantage. I can act like I don't know what's going on and pretend that I let it go.
There's a very slim chance that she will actually believes me, but there's still a chance.
*11 hours later*
I was waiting for the arrival of the most annoying person ever. Not Yamada, but she is very close on passing him up. Maybe this conversation will decide that.
*knock, knock, knock*
I never knew three knocks could bring down my mood so fast. I opened the door and was greeted to a smiling Kaori and ramen. Looks like she's really trying to get on my good side.
"I ate"
"Well now *shows him the ramen* you have more to eat. The least you can do is act to be thankful", she set the ramen on the counter and sat on the couch.
"Your here to admit that your using Yamada", I said not wanting her to be here longer than wanted.
"I already told you I'm not using him. Where did that idea even come from?", why does it sound like she's getting irritated. Like she meant it.
"I overheard Yamada's conversation on the phone", I stated.
"He could've been talking to anyone. Why assume it was me", she scoffed.
'He thinks that your still gone on vacation'
She must think he was an idiot. She's the only person that he knew was on vacation. Who else could he be talking about.
This was it. This was the opening.
Use this as an advantage.
"I'm jealous"
