Mew woke up early in the morning, rested like never before. Gulf was sleeping beside him, arm around his waist. He had disheveled hair and slightly open mouth. He looked charming. Mew carefully stood up, trying not to wake him up. Gulf rolled on his back. He was sleeping like a child now, limbs stretched out sideways. Mew brushed his hair away from his face, kissed his forehead and covered him.
After the shower, he went to the kitchen to make breakfast. He often did this before the accident. Gulf always woke up, feeling freshly brewed coffee, and half-conscious shuffled for the cup held by Mew. The boy smiled at the memory and felt that he missed it.
Yesterday's dinner with Gulf's family made Mew realize, how much he lost by locking himself in and falling into his own misfortune. When he saw Gulf's relatives laughing happily, talking so vividly and his boyfriend with them, he wanted to be able to join them. He wanted Gulf to feel so good with him every day. That he would not have to make his life easier. Try to make him feel good. Prove Mew that he's normal.
Mew understood this already. He was going to go back to normal. Again, will be a support for Gulf, not an unbearable burden.
He put the prepared sandwiches on the table, when he noticed Gulf walking with a crooked step, his eyes still closed. He grabed Gulf's favorite cup with fragrant coffee from the counter. The younger man approached Mew and, as was their custom, took a cup with a steaming drink, took a sip. Then, still tasting like the coffee, he kissed Mew's lips.
"Good morning, darling." Gulf mumbled, and signed with his free hand.
Just a few days ago, this view would enrage Mew. But now, it seemed perfectly normal and charming to him, so he was smiling broadly. Gulf sank into a chair and started to eat a sandwich. Mew waited for the boy to wake up fully. He had something important to tell him.
Gulf took a last sip of coffee. He sighed fulled and pleased.
"It was delicious, honey." he said to Mew and smiled.
"I want to tell you something." Mew suddenly signed. Gulf opened his eyes wider but did not interrupt him. "I appreciate your effort. I understood the beauty of the world that you tried to show me. I want to learn sign language. Make you happy and live a normal life."
"Where... you ... how ..." stuttered Gulf. After a moment he remembered how Mew disappeared with his aunt yesterday in her office for a while and they were gone for a long time. "Did Aunt teach you that?"He asked.
"Yes."Mew answered and pulled the phone out of his pocket.
"But that's all I can do for now." Gulf read aloud and smiled. "Relax, you'll learn more quickly."
Happy as never before, he got up from his chair, walked around the table and embraced Mew tightly. He felt tears of happiness running down his cheeks. Mew hugged him back. As Gulf pulled away from him, Mew wiped the wet marks on his face with his thumb. Then he showed "I love you". [A/N: in ASL it looks like on the picture below, but in TSL its probably different. I found something like that in online dictionery. See the link: https://pirun.ku.ac.th/~fhumalt/THSL/THSL/html/verbs_en/plain_V/verbs_plain_love_En.htm]
