Mew and Gulf were alone after dinner. The younger one went to wash the dishes and the older one disappeared into the room again. The dinner went in a nice atmosphere. Mew even smiled once when he tried the soup, which was delicious. They communicated silently, with glances and gestures. Gulf spoke sporadically.

It was getting darker outside. Gulf heard Mew take a shower. In order not to leave him alone later, he also went to wash in the guest bathroom. When Mew got out of the bath, still with wet hair and only in boxer shorts, Gulf was already waiting for him in bed. He smiled at him and patted the seat next to him in an inviting gesture. Mew sat on the bed with his back to the boy, but he immediately turned around when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. Gulf settled back ina semi-sitting position, leaning against the head of the bed, spread his arms, encouraging Mew to cuddle into him. What also the older did. Gulf embraced him firmly with one hand and the other gently stroked Mew behind the ear, where there was a scar after surgery. Mew initially wanted to move away. He didn't want Gulf to touch the evidence that remind him of his imperfections. But this touch was strangely calming. He couldn't hear Gulf's beating heart, but he could feel it under his fingers. He hugged his chest tightly.

So far, the roles have been reversed. It was him, Mew, who protected Gulf by keeping it sealed in his arms. Now even though he wanted to be strong, he couldn't. He needed Gulf's support and shelter in his embrace.

Mew stood on the stage again. He talked and laughed at the fans. Gulf was nearby, also having fun. Suddenly he heard a bang. He covered his ears with his hands and there was silence. He saw Gulf running to him. He wanted to get closer to Gulf, but he couldn't move. After a moment, he didn't see his beloved anymore. Everything was dark. He tried to scream but couldn't hear his voice.

Mew opened his eyes wide all sweaty. He was terrified. There was silence and darkness around. He started moving restlessly on the bed. He tried to disentangle himself from tangled bedding. He searched for Gulf on the side but couldn't feel him. He quickly got out of bed,but soon stumbled, he was still tangled in the material.

Meanwhile, Gulf was in the kitchen, taking a bottle of water from the fridge. However, he did not have time to drink, because he heard the rumor in the room and the moans of Mew. Without thinking, he ran back there. He turned on the light and saw the terrified Mew on the floor. He knelt beside him, took him in his arms and tried to calm him down. Mew breathed heavily and clenched his fingers painfully on Gulf's shoulder.

When Gulf felt the Mew's grasp ease away, he pulled him away from his chest to look at him.

"What happened?" Gulf asked.

"Darkness... You were gone ..."Mew whispered slowly, with tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry. I'm already hear. Let's go back to bed." he tenderly brushed some hairs from Mew's eyes and helped him to his feet.

He sat him on the bed and stood up to turn off the light, but Mew wouldn't let him. If it's dark, he doesn't know what's happening to him, he can't "hear".

"I will leave the bedside lamp on, okay? With such a strong light, you will not sleep well." said Gulf reassuringly and turned on the small lamp on the Mew bedside table.

He turned off the bright ceiling light and went to bed next to Mew. He pulled him into embrace. They fell asleep again.
