Oikawa texted you about twenty minutes later to tell you he had won the third set. You couldn't say you were surprised.
Since it was Thursday, school was still in session, although, since you were on the cheer team, you had already been excused from your classes in advance.
Should I skip tomorrow? You asked yourself, standing in front of your mirror. Everyone is gonna ask me about the stunt. If I wait to go back until Monday everyone will just forget about it.
Your mom would kill you if she knew you planned to skip, so you decided you'd just tell her your legs were too sore from all of the practice.
Your phone lit up with a text, but this time it wasn't from Oikawa. It was your group text with Kageyama and Hinata.
Hinata: hey [y/n] are you coming to the party tmr
You'd completely forgotten about Hinata's party, even if you hadn't intended to go. You thought about giving some excuse for why you couldn't make it, but Hinata sent another text.
Hinata: I know that right now you're kinda going through some stuff and I just want to be there for you. Please come tmr, I think it'll be good for you <3
You were almost tempted to ask Oikawa if he was going to be there, but you stopped yourself.
You: I can't make it, I'm sorry :/
Kageyama: ik ur lying, just tell us what's wrong
You: i don't want to talk abt it
Hinata: please?? I really wanna see you again
Kageyama: come on, ur gonna make hinata cry
You: I'll think about it
Hinata: it's no fun when i get stuck hanging out with kags at all the volleyball parties
Kageyama: hinata wtf
Hinata: sh I'm trying to guilt trip her
These two idiots were too sweet. It almost made you want to go, but at the same time, the thought of leaving your house, your newfound safe haven, made your skin crawl. You knew you would only end up feeling more lonely if you showed up. Everyone on the different volleyball teams already knew each other. You didn't fit in with them.
You: I'm not going to know anybody there
Hinata: that doesn't matter! They're all like suuuuuper nice and they'll love you
Kageyama: hinata is lying again. They're all kinda scary and weird but trust me, you'll have fun if you show up. Do you really want to sit alone all night when you could be out having fun?
They were right. You didn't exactly want to stay home.
Azumi will be there.
You still needed to fix things with her. You owed her an apology. And a big one at that.
Does that mean I owe Oikawa one, too? You hadn't exactly been particularly nice to him the first time the two of you spoke.

You turned off your phone and sat down on the edge of your bed. You had no idea what to do for the next 24 hours. You were just about to lay down and sleep when your phone started lighting up with notifications again.
