Most healers gather their herbs from the no-wing gardens, as they are grown in abundance, though some can still be found throughout the territories.

COMMON HERBS

Calendula - Chewed into a pulp. Applied to wounds to prevent or cure infections.

Chamomile - Multi-purpose herb. Chewed and eaten to calm anxiety. Applied as a pulp to wounds to ease swelling and inflammation.

Cilantro - Chewed and eaten. Helps remove poisons from the body.

Feverfew - Chewed and eaten. Soothes headaches and treats fevers.

Ginger - Chewed and eaten. Cures nausea and stomach aches.

Gingko - Chewed and Eaten. Given to Messengers to improve memory.

Goldenseal - Chewed into a pulp and applied around the nose of the beak. Soothes runny noses.

Hawthorn - Chewed and eaten. Helps heart failure and other heart-related diseases.

Honey - Soothes sore throats and coughs.

Lemon Balm - Chewed and eaten. Helps calm nerves and soothe tense muscles.

Mint - Chewed and eaten to ease vomiting. Applied as a pulp to soothe sore muscles or joints.

Mullein - Chewed and eaten. Cures more severe respiratory infections.

Poppy Buds - Chewed and eaten. Helps soothe pain.

Primrose - Chewed into a pulp. Helps aching joints.

Thyme - Chewed and eaten. Cures coughs and colds.

Valerian - Chewed and eaten. Helps birds sleep.

                                  POISONS

Azalea - Causes sore throats and vomiting.

Bitter Nightshade - Causes headaches, drowsiness, stomachache, lowered body temperature, and dilated pupils.

Dieffenbachia - Causes breathing difficulties.

Foxglove - Causes heart failure.

Hemlock - Causes foaming at the beak and severe pain.

Hogweed Sap - Causes skin to be more susceptible to sunburns. Can damage vision.

Jimsonweed - Causes nausea, dehydration, raised heart rate, and hallucinations.

Lily of The Valley - Causes vomiting and dizziness. Causes death if left untreated.

Mistletoe - Slows or stops heart rate.

Oleander - Highly poisonous. Causes an almost-immediate death. Used by healers to end suffering birds who cannot be saved.

Poison Ivy, Oak, and Sumac - Causes itchy rashes to form on the skin.

Rhubarb Leaves - Causes kidney failure.

HEALING TREATMENTS

Aching Joints - Use a poultice of mint and primrose and apply it to the aching joints.

Belly Aches - Mix mint with water and feed it to the bird alongside ginger.

Broken Wings - Place sticks under and over the broken wing. Wrap plant roots around the sticks and wing to keep the sticks in place. Feed the bird a poppy bud to soothe pain.

Coughs - Feed the bird honey-coated thyme.

Chest Infections - Feed the bird mullein. Keep away from others birds until symptoms have ceased.

Deep Wounds - Apply a pulp of calendula and chamomile to the wound. Apply leaves over the wound and glue them down with tree sap.

Poison - Feed the bird cilantro immediately. Some poisons are more severe than others, and may not be treatable.

Shock - Feed the bird chamomile and lemon balm. Give them valerian to help them sleep.

Sore Throat - Use honey and water.

Stretched Muscles - Feed the bird lemon balm and a poppy bud.
