"Kai?! Omg you're back?! I miss you so much!" He squealed across the hospital, not caring if some of his colleagues were staring at him weirdly.
It's just Jimin, he's really different and always acts professional in front of others but now he is the complete opposite. Kai, who he dated back then back when Junior High School smiled widely and opened his arms for a hug. Jimin ran to him and jumped on him, sobbing.
"I miss you so so much!" He cried, Kai laughed and kissed his forehead. "How are you and your daughter?" He smiled. Jimin wiped his tears and mumbled a small 'we're doing fine'
"I miss you too." He teased, which received a chuckle from Jimin. Neither of them knew someone was watching them with a broken heart. I stood there a few meters away, smiling painfully. I might be tough, maybe look strong and strict.
But deep inside, I really get too insecure, especially with these kinds of events. What I did in the past, Jimin could always find another man and marry them. Jimin deserves the world.
Kai is his first love and boyfriend but the said man needs to go to Australia for his parents' job promotion and they need to break it off.
It went well though, no hard feelings just stayed best friends through the years. "Let's catch up soon? I wanna meet your daughter! She needs to meet her uncle too!" Kai said excitedly.
Jimin then smiled and nodded, Kai placed him down gently. "It's been years I can't believe this! And you would just show up and surprise me like that?!" Jimin said exaggerated,
"Hey, give this to her," Kai said, handing Jimin his gifts for Naya. I frowned when Jimin immediately accepted it.
But when I gave Naya that necklace, Jimin rejected it at first without any hesitation. "I have to go to meet some friends and you know."
Kai winked at him playfully. Jimin chuckled and shook his head, patting Kai's shoulder. "Okay good luck! bye!" He smiled and waved at Kai sweetly, I shook my head and turned around. What if Jimin still loves him?
"I'll go first.. she might be shocked." He said in front of me, I scanned the wide and modern house.
Clearly Jimin's style, it's breathtaking and welcoming. "Daddy's here.." I heard Jimin mumble from the kitchen, "Really? what if he doesn't like how I look, mommy?"
"He did baby, he did like you, you saw him 2 times but I don't think you still remember his face." I smiled slightly, and there I saw Jimin walking with our daughter.
I can't help but to hold back my tears. I left this beautiful human being for 7 years... 7 years without knowing who her daddy is.
7 years of being insecure by her friends and classmates who have a complete family. If I didn't eavesdrop on the conversation, then I would be fooled with such lies and abandon this child completely. Naya walked towards him slowly, her eyes watering.
"D-daddy?" She asked, trying to stabilize her voice. I nodded painfully and reached out my arms. "Yes. It's d-daddy, baby."
I stuttered. Naya ran to me. I knelt so that I could reach her height. She hugged me tightly as if she's scared that I will disappear again.
I can't help but to sob in her shoulder, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry baby." I cried, my heart broke when Naya started crying, "Daddy where have y-you been?" "Why did you left m-me?" She sobbed, I just kept muttering sorry's.
"Then she's really cool!" Naya said, making a hand gesture as if she's seeing stars, "Woah really?" I said, placing my hand on my chest, acting shocked and surprised. "Yes! I have a Disney collection. Do you wanna see it?"
"You're spoiled?" I asked teasingly.
"No! I study hard at school so mommy can reward me!" She defended and cupped both my cheeks so she could assure I was listening to her.
"That's a very good girl right there huh? Where do you wanna go?" I
asked."Travel? country?" She asked curiously, "I wanna go to uhm, Califo.. daddy help." I laughed, "California?" I asked and she nodded.
"Disneyland Park! That's the original and very first one! I wanna see Elsa and Olaf again!" She beamed. "Okay then baby, we will visit it when daddy and mommy are on break okay?"
I assured Naya then nodded and kissed my cheeks. "Daddy.."
"Yes?" I asked, looking at her doe eyes. Mine. I thought.
"You looked like a bunny." She giggled,
Jimin, who's currently scrolling through his instragram across me , holding his laugh. I glared at him, he quickly fixed his eyes on his phone again and bit his lower lip, laughing quietly.
"I am not a bunny, I am a human."
"We have carrots in the fridge daddy, are you hungry? I can wash them and then you can eat." She offered innocently, the girl got Jimin's sassy attitude. Jimin grabbed a cushion and bit into it trying to contain his laugh.
"Okay I will stop! jesus!" He laughs after seeing my glare. "Naya come here, drink your milk first." He instructed me to hold the glass of milk.
Naya immediately gulped it down and sat on my lap again ignoring Jimin completely. "That's favoritism right there!" He complained, frowning at me.
"It's your bedtime already, go to sleep, daddy will come back tomorrow, I promise, do you want me to buy you stuff before going here?"
I asked, "No she'll grow up to be a spoiled brat. No!" Jimin said, making a hand gesture. "Asian mom sucks huh?"
I mocked Jimin and he grabbed one of his fluffy slippers ready to throw it to me.
"Mommy don't! you will hurt daddy, daddy is handsome, daddy is my new favorite." Naya giggled. I smirked. "I'm hurt." Jimin frowned and pouted.
"You're my favorite mommy too."
"Really?"
"Mhm .1 favorite."
"See?! I'm the number one in her heart!"
Jimin scoffed, "Daddy's 99.9" Our daughter continued. Jimin frowned, causing me to caress her hair and laugh loudly.
"Jeon never loses the game." I shrugged, playing boastfully.
"Whatever Jungkook!"
