I entered Mom's room with a swollen eyes and a runny nose, still can't believe that Kai did that, yes I want him dead, but not in front of me.

"Hi Mom, does your stitches hurt?" I ask her, I'm happy that she's now in her normal condition, but it still feels heavy inside.

"What's wrong honey? Did something happen?" I shook my head

"Nothing Mom, I'm just happy you're fine now" I said lying

"But I can see sadness, Jennie I'm your mother please tell me what happened" she said caressing my hands

All I did was to cry and hug my mother, she did not speak, not at all. All she did was caressing my back and comforting me.

"Mom I have some questions for you" I said letting go and wiping my tears with my hands. I need to continue this case, I need to know if it really was Kai.

Still doubting myself on Kai's word, there are this feelings that I don't believe that it's him, yet at first I was really sure that it was him. But to know it further, I'll let mom be the justice on her own case.

"Questions will me answered tommorow my dear, first you need to rest, to calm your self down I love you dear, so much" she said then gave me the most tightest hug that I wanted to have this tiring day.

I nodded and allow the darkness fill me in. Give me the rest that I deserve, even if tomorrow will be another blur.

"Officer Jennie, I want to congratulate you for getting Jong In's hand in prison, our country will be now peaceful as it was before" Chief said as he gave me a handshake

"Thank you, Chief" I said

Mom is now okay, my job is now safe,  yet I don't feel like I'm now stable—

"Thinking about something?" Irene said cutting my thoughts

"I'll visit mom, want to come?" I said changing the topic

"I have work to be done, so.. See you later" she said

Driving to the hospital was smooth as usual, but walking through the hallway and see that my co-workers are guarding Kai's door is not good. I want to see him, yet I don't want issues.

I entered moms room and saw her eating her breakfast while watching hockey.

"Hey mom" I greeted

"Hi dear, how are you?" she asks

"It's how are you, Mom. Not how are you" I said that made her chuckle

"Anyways, I'll be asking you questions, you're ready?" I ask

She nodded

"Did—" she cut me

"Did Kai did this to me? No"

"Then—"

"Then why is his name was on the floor?" she said

"Mom, let me finish first" I said

"I have been through that Jennie, I was a police too, your dad was a police too"

"Now to explain your questions" she took a deep breathe

"Kai visited me before this incident happen, we even watched the final hockey game, how can I be sure that Kai wasn't the culprit? Before the guy stabbed me, he whispered something that made me write Kai's name"

"What was the whispers says?" I ask

"He said if Kai won't be in prison, he'll kill him" she said

Definitely it wasn't Kai, I'm sure now. It was someone else's who stabbed my mom.

"Maybe—"

"Maybe it was Kai, but he was pretending to be somebody else? I know Kai's voice, honey. Trust me it wasn't him, how's Kai by the way?" she knew about Kai's being hospitalized

"I don't know yet, I'll see his doctor and ask about his condition" I said lowering my head

"Now it's my time to ask you" mom said that made me look at her

"Do you still love him?" her question me me think, do I really still love him,  cause if not then he would be in prison.

"I-I don't know" I said that made her nod.

Now I just realized that if I just gave him in from the day we met at the tunnel, he wouldn't be in his condition right now.

"Hi, may I ask how's Kai condition?" I politely say at his doctor.

"Well he will be suffering in 4 weeks comatose" she said smiling at me

"Thank you" I said and gave her a bow

I sighed heavily, well I guess prisons await.

"Oh Kai, come in" Jennie's mother said

For all the people whose been saying bad things to me, there's this woman who doesn't care about my bad doings.

"You're watching hockey?" I ask shocked

"Yes I am, remember when Jennie was angry at us because we were watching hocking and she wanted to watch her romance movie?" she ask laugh.

While I faked a laugh

"How are you doing today? Besides breaking some law?" she said that made me chuckle

"Fun. I guess" I looked at her with my drowsy look

"Kai, I'm telling you something, Jennie told me to not tell anyone but I think it's time for you to know the truth" that made me confuse.

"Jennie broke up with you because Rust told her to do so, she came back here crying and for almost a week she did not came out of her room and didn't eat anything, Kai son,  I'm sorry for not telling you earlier, but I wish you'll understand her"

So it was Rust fault? Never thought he made a monster like me, but why would Jennie agree? There must be a reason why.

Days passed by and many things happened already. Jennie's mother got stabbed, some jerk had been following me, saying that I need to be in prison and tell everybody that I stab Jennie's mom, or else Jennie would be in trouble.

So I did what he said, and that made me hospitalized and in comatose for a month.

"Hi Kai, glad you're okay now" Taeyon said, my childhood friend and a doctor here in the hospital.

I just nodded

"Anyways, there's some girl here that had been visiting and been asking for your condition, and I just kinda answer and swing with it" she said that made my forehead crease

"Can you describe her?" of course she knows that it's Jennie, but I need to be sure.

"Well, sometimes she wore a police uniform—" now he knows that it was Jennie

"...a beautiful girl that had some big cheeks and I guess her surname was Kim" she said

"Uhh, noona can I have a favor?" I said

"Sure, anything for my patient" she said chuckling

"If she'll ask again, tell her that I have a memory lost" I said

This is the only way I can get rid of everything, my old nasty life and some not so good memories. And will be having a new life in prison.
