"-In other news, there is scheduled to be another search party for eighteen year old Ashton Irwin who has been missing for three months. If you are free tomorrow afternoon at two, please come join us behind the church on 82nd street. Again, if you have any information regarding the disappearance of Ashton Irwin, please call-"

"You shouldn't be watching this," Michael Clifford announced as the television went black. He sighed as his eyes met with none other than Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin's best friend. "I thought we agreed that you were going to get out more, not stay cooped up in here listening to the news on Ashton." Michael added with a slight hint of annoyance in his voice. He was trying, Michael really was, he was tired of his friend moping around the house being depressed and blaming himself on the disappearance of his best friend. Although Michael and his other friend Calum Hood had suspicions of more-than-best-friends feelings.

----

Ever since Ashton vanished into thin air, Luke has been indoors wondering what could have happened to the cheerful boy. Luke can't help to wonder if it was his fault that Ashton was gone, he was there that night; the night Ashton disappeared. They were hanging out at the bar around eleven that night drinking and celebrating Luke's birthday. Around midnight, Luke decided to go check on Ashton in the bathroom, as a few minutes beforehand the boy was found throwing up the contents of his last meal, but when Luke opened the door to the empty bathroom he was met with an unsettling feeling.

Luke knew that Ashton wouldn't just bail on him at his own birthday party, especially without telling him, so Luke decided to halt the whole party and search for him, but Ash was nowhere to be seen. Luke was beyond confused and slightly upset, but decided to wait it out and come to the conclusion that Ashton just needed to get home and get some rest. The next day, however, scared Luke out of his mind when news came up that police had found Ashton's wallet and cellphone in an abandoned building on the East side of town. Search parties were set up almost every weekend and Luke imprisoned himself in his flat ever since.

----

"I can't face the outside world if Ash is not there with me." Luke replied to Michael after a long silence. "Luke, you know you can't live out the rest of your life in your house." "Who said I can't?" Luke snapped at Michael, earning the boy a disapproving look. "Look, I'm worried about you, and I think if you get out of the house than you can get your mind off of Ashton." Michael stated, but Luke was having none of it. "Ashton is always on my mind, he's my best friend, I could never forget him." Luke said growing quiet towards the end. Michael sighed with eyes full of sympathy as he left the room, giving Luke more time alone.

I miss you Ashton
