Grass, twigs and Bruises.
That's what I'm feeling.  Broken bones too, blood, heat. It's agonizing, of course I'm screaming right now. Who wouldn't in this much pain?
It's odd though, I can't remember.
I can't remember why I'm in so much pain.
I can't remember anything.
Why am I here, where am I even?
I can't think of an answer because I have to scream. Scream from falling.
How am I even alive? All I can see is the sun and tall trees as I writhe around the fallen pine needles of the forest floor.
Pine needles. I hate them.
Who even thought of pine needles?
They don't do anything, they're not soft like other leaves, and there's too much of them.
I guess I'm not one to talk.

Voices.

Anxious voices; I try to scream less loud to try and hear them, but it's so hard. I can't stop the ringing in my ears.
I hear murmurs.
"Gr...kl....hel....oh.m....O."
I can hear them getting closer, I need to tell them I'm here.
"HELP!! - AHHHHHH hgg- AHHHa!!!," I finally cry out choking on my sore throat and what tastes like blood and mucus.
I finally see a glimmer of a person, 'hope' I thought. They kneel down and gently lift my head up. I retaliate out of pain, yet try to stay calm as to not scare them away. It was all too much, the pain, the voices, the sun, the pine needles, and then...

I woke up. Still in pain, but not as much as earlier. To a strangely lit place. The ringing in my ears is gone and I feel cleaner, no blood or dirt. Not even a single pine needle. I try to sit up, but quickly collapse back down from the pain in my side.
"Woah, hey it..it's okay just lie down." I hear a voice say. I turn my head to see who it was as my eyes slowly adjust to the light.

A boy, with dark brown eyes. Kind eyes.
After all that pain, I looked into those first pair of eyes that weren't mine, and felt safe.
