3 months later.

I sneaked out the door with the plate in my hands. I made it to the dungeons without being caught. As I neared Jesse's cell, I heard voices.

" Jesse, son, we must stick together now that your dear sister is dead. We need to kill this pack!"

It was the Fredrick from a couple months ago.

" Dad, I...I can't."

What? Did Jesse just call him Dad?

I crouched down, and listened.

" Why not? Don't you see!? If we kill this pack then you'll be free! I'll turn you if you want, I can turn your mother. We can live together as a happy family again!" Fredrick said, waving his hands around.

" I don't want to start a happy family with you people again! I just wanna live my own life, being a werewolf doesn't interest me and it never will. I don't want to become like you." Jesse spat at his father.

" I already lost Emma-your sister-and your mother. I won't loose you. I'll come back tonight with a couple of my men. I'll help you escape. Then we'll come back in a couple weeks. We'll surprise attack them."

Jesse shook his head and avoided eye contact with his father. " I'm not leaving."

" What the fuck is holding you back?!" Fredrick hollered, his face turning red.

" Delfy is! She's the only one who even bothers listening to my problems. She's a kind person inside and out and I can't let her be killed by you. I-I love her!"

My heart dropped to the floor.

Jesse loved me?

I couldn't help but feel flattered, but I knew I didn't love him back. I had someone else in mind...

" Blaine's mate? You love Blaine's mate! How pathetic are you!?! I'll come for you tonight, don't get too comfortable," Fredrick roared, his eyes flaming with hatred towards his son, " we're going to make alpha Blaine suffer."

With that, I dropped the plate, causing them to snap their heads in my direction. I ran out of the dungeons, dodging pack members. I ran all the way to the house, not looking back.

BLAINE'S POV

I stared at the pile of papers in front of me. Ever since Emma died, things have been off. I don't feel threatened anymore.

I don't want the name Emma mentioned anywhere in this territory and I've made sure that everyone knows that. I fiddled with the pen in my hand. Suddenly, Delfy barged into the room, looking panicked. She ran up to my desk and caught her breath.

" Fredrick," she pointed towards the door, " he's gonna-"

I stood up from seat and went to her side, keeping her from falling to the ground. " Slow down there, what about Fredrick?" I asked.

She clung to my shirt desperately. " Fredrick is planning to break Jesse out, tonight. Then they'll return to kill you."

I took the closest seat and sat her down on my lap. " Calm down. They can have that pathetic human, he was no good use anyways. And if Fredrick wants to start a fight, then let him." I gently wiped her hot tears away. She shook her head.

" No, you don't get it! He's leader of the council for fucks sake!"

" Yeah, I know. What does that have to do with anything?" I asked.

" He probably has connections, Blaine, you idiot! He'll destroy us-he'll destroy you you."

" Delfy, it's okay. I promise nothing is going to happen to me."

She looked up at me, " You promise?"

" I promise."

DELFY'S POV

I woke up to an empty bed. The last thing I remembered was Blaine laying me down on his bed. I rolled over and looked at the clock.

7:00AM

My eyes bulged out. I slept the whole day yesterday!

I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and hopped into the shower. I washed my hair and scrubbed my body with my strawberry vanilla body wash.

As I walked out of the bathroom with a tiny towel wrapped around my body, I saw Blaine in the room. He turned around, his eyes widening when he saw the excuse of a towel I was wearing.

His eyes hungrily traveled down my body. I blushed and hurried to get some clothes. Though, my wolf loved the attention.

I felt his presence behind me. " You really shouldn't have worn that."

His black eyes were coated with lust and passion as I turned around. His hands circled around my waist, pulling me impossibly closer. He hungrily attacked my lips with his.

We pulled away after a few minutes, needing oxygen. " I'm going to go sort some things out with the missing documents." He said.

I nodded and watched as he left. I felt my lips tingle from when he had kissed me so passionately.

Blaine's POV

" So...you're telling me that she had the documents all along?" I asked Casper as we stood in the middle of Emma's room.

He nodded and shifted uncomfortably. " She hid them under her mattress. Someone put her up to this. Someone doesn't want Blood Hound to exist, but who?"

" We need to get those to Fredrick as soon as possible. We'll ask questions later." I say.

-

" You're late." Fredrick smirked.

I held out the papers, " I came here to show you the documents, not to make chit-chat," I glared at him, " you should also know that your daughter was the one hiding these documents."

" I should rip these papers in half right now." He muttered through gritted teeth.

I slammed the papers down on his desk and turned to leave but he stopped me. " Wait a second, we need to talk, have a seat." He smiled. I narrowed my eyes at him, he had something up his sleeve.

I turned to him but didn't sit down.

" Jesse! Get two mugs of coffee!" He screamed.

A couple seconds later, Jesse came into the room, holding a tray of mugs. He extended his hands, holding a mug towards me. I looked at the mug and then back up at him.

He looked worse here then when he was in my dungeons. He looked blue but still pale. He had dark bags under his eyes and looked way skinnier.

He handed the other mug to Fredrick and stood awkwardly in the corner. " I don' have anything to talk about with you," I grumbled.

Fredrick waved his hand dissmissiveley. " Go! I don't need you! Jesse, boy, escort alpha Blaine out."

Jesse nodded and motioned for me to follow. Once outside, Jesse finally spoke. " H-hows Delfy?" He asked.

" Fine."  I grumbled.

He nodded.

I stepped into the elevator.

The last thing I saw was Fredrick running out of his office. He was screaming about his coffee. I heard a painful scream coming from Jesse before the elevator doors slid shut.
