The doorbell suddenly rang before the Russian could say anything.

"Oh!" America beamed as he walked towards the door. Russia raised an eyebrow eating his cake piece by piece.

The American unlocked the door and a familiar lady stood there by his doorway. She wore a black hoodie and a mask. "Japan you're finally here, come in."

"I'm super grateful you allowed me to visit you!" Japan walked in, taking off her shoes since it was something Asians did for some reason.

Japan lifted her head and saw Russia sitting at the dining table with a piercing expression, the air around him was also extremely scary. Cold sweat slid down her face, of course she smiled though.

She immediately did a one eighty turn for the doorway, "I actually just remembered I had an interview today excuse me." Japan hastily tried to grab her shoes but America placed a hand on her shoulder and nudged her towards the dining table.

"You're the one who insisted to come here in the first place, how about you at least eat your slice of cake I made for you."

Japan didn't know how she ended up sitting across the tall Russian while America sat and talked next to her.

When America turned towards the Russian to talk to him, his expression was gentle and friendly. But then when America turned to talk to Japan his expression would immediately turn into a cold gaze with a fake smile.

Japan felt extremely awkward so all she did was play with her cake using her fork.

America turned to her after eating another piece of his cake, "by the way thanks for the occasional lunches you make for me, they taste really good."

More cold sweat slid down her face as she said with a forced smile, "no problem,
but I really need to go..."

"How's the cake?" America asked both of them.

Russia still rested his cheek on the palm of his hand, "It's really good, you're so talented, I'm jealous."

Seeing as Russia genuinely seemed to enjoy the cake, Japan finally took a bite of it as well.

"Well? Does it taste good?" America said with a wide smile, awaiting her answer.

Her face alternated between green and white, even though her face was already white it turned a shade whiter.

Japan suddenly collapsed, her forehead slammed into the table causing the silverwares on the table to tremble.

"Eh? Japan?"

She did not answer.

America shook her by her shoulder, "Japan? Japan? Wake up!"

Russia already got up from his seat with a calm expression, "Did I just murder her...?" America cocked his head a little to the side and poked her head.

"I'll go buy a shovel." Was all the Russian said as he prepared to leave. Suddenly there was a series of coughing and gasping, Japan finally shot up and sat straight, coughing into her hoodie sleeve.

"なんでこんなに甘いの?!" (Why is it so fucking sweet?!) she said with a raspy voice because of all the coughing, her face was still a little green as well. She forgot to speak English for a second there, her Japanese accidentally slipped out. Luckily America understood.

"Ah..." America turned his head away guiltily. That's because America loved sweet things, he had an extremely high sweet tolerance. So he'd usually dump a fuck ton of sugar in anything sweet he was making. Usually if he wanted to give it to others, he'd use the normal amount of sugar but he forgot this time due to not having guests for a long time.

He scratched the nape of his neck, "I guess I forgot to tone down on the sugar, I can make another for you if you'd like?"

'Well at least Russia can stand my extremely sweet cake.' He thought as he glanced at the empty plate by Russia's side.

"Erm no it's okay, I have an interview after this anyway, I'll take my leave, I can visit you another time." She politely rejected, but she wasn't mad at all.

After she left America sat across Russia and ate the cake with him. "Ahh... I can't believe I forgot to tone down on the sugar." The American shoved a piece of it in his mouth to comfort himself.

"She made lunches for you?" Russia asked, "mm yeah she did, I originally wanted to thank her with something I made as well but it turned out like this..."

Russia's eyes narrowed a little, "then can I cook for you as well?"

America tilted his head sideways with a smile, "Sure, I'd love to try your cooking, at least it'll be better than mine."

The edge of Russia's mouth twitched, "Your cooking is great, I enjoy it."

"Ah yeah, thanks, well at least I have you that supports me." He said without really thinking about it much.

"Not just me, I'm sure there are a lot of people who'd support you, you'll be the number one star again I can guarantee it." Russia's eyes seemed to sparkle a little, he stared into the American's eyes with a heated gaze. His expression was as cool and tranquil as always that held a sense of maturity within it.

America chuckled at these empty groundless words, "haha, thanks." A small pink tint spread cross his cheeks, a smile as sweet as honey appeared on his face.

Even though he smiled, a complicated emotion welled up in his heart, one that wasn't necessarily a good emotion either...

Russia noticed scattered music sheets on the coffee table, "are you writing a song?"

"Yeah, I'm still working on it though, do you want to listen to what I have now?"

"Sure."

America got up and sat in front of his keyboard, playing a tune, it indeed sounded like a song without lyrics. He could feel the taller male's gaze behind him, listening to his song.

When he finished Russia clapped a few times, "I'll be looking forward to when you finish it."

They both stared at each other with smiles on their faces.

...

Russia sat in the back seat his vehicle while his manager drove up front. "You finally met him? That's great..."

The Russian stared out the window in a daze, humming the tune America played awhile ago.

"You got an offer the other day to play the male lead role in a fantasy romance movie that was adapted from a novel. It's a famous studio and I think it's really worth it."

"I don't take up offers for romance movies remember? I refuse." He replied.

A smile appeared on his managers face, "I know you refuse because you don't want to do romantic scenes with someone other than who you fancy-"

"But what if I told you the actor that is confirmed to be playing the role of the other main character is America?"

Russia replied without a second thought, "Accept the offer."

His manager sighed with a smile, 'You really are so easy to see through sometimes.'
