It was dark outside. Stella sat on the cold floor surrounded by open grimoires and books on medicine. To the side, a half-finished doll lay as she switched between task. She was working by candlelight, as well as the added light of the moon. Out here, she didn't have to worry about being ambushed. Eva and Mabel were both at home under the impression that Stella was asleep. The other Mikaelsons had no idea that Lafayette cemetery even existed, let alone that she was in it.

Having been left alone by himself for the entire day, Niklaus was begrudgingly grateful for the witch's company. She was interesting to watch. She seemed to work differently to everyone else he knew. She was keeping him chained up and yet her intentions didn't seem corrupt. She was making dolls to injure and maim his family but even then it seemed like a method of self-defence.

She was young. If she didn't defend herself, the Mikaelson family would ruin her. Because of this determination, Niklaus couldn't help but like the witch. His like for her was conflicting. After all, she was keeping him in chains.

When she switched between the doll and the books again, he couldn't contain his curiosity any longer. "What are you doing now?"

"Multitasking."

"Doing what?"

"I'm trying to make a cure for the fever whilst also making one of those dolls for your brother." Despite the dolls being a method of torturing him and his family, he couldn't help but smirk. The unexpected little witch would have them all wrapped around her finger by the end of the week. He looked forward to seeing her overpower Elijah. He knew- if she carried on like this- it wouldn't be long before the pair crossed paths.

Elijah's shocked face would be one he couldn't miss.

"Which one?"

"Kol."

The smirk only grew. She seemed to be starting with the most evil and making her way down. Terribly smart. Eliminate the bigger threats first.

"Don't you need his blood to connect it?"

"I've got his blood."

Of course she did.

"You're not half as stupid as you look."

"Wow. Thanks."

She picked the books up again. Jogging his memory, he tried to remember what she'd said just seconds before. She was making a cure for fever.

"Why are you making a cure for the fever? You look healthy enough to me."

She didn't look up. Niklaus could see her stress growing more prominent with every passing second. By the looks of things, she was failing.

"My friend's Mother is dying," Stella explained. "If I don't find a way to save her, she'll be dead by the end of the week."

"It's always rainbows and sunshines with you witches." His eyes trailed to the nearly finished doll. It looked the same as the one she'd made for him. Somehow, she could see a difference between them. "How did you get the blood from my brother?"
