The car is driving in full speed, swiftly avoiding hitting any cars coming on sight.

Both of them were breathing heavily as no one knew what was happening.

But as careful as they are, he didn't notice another car was closing on them.

They were shocked by the impact caused by the car, making him lose control of their vehicle.

He immediately steps on the break. It somehow slowed the car, but it was not enough to stop any anticipated crash.

Expecting the car to hit on the lamppost in front of them, he instinctively stretches out his one hand in front of her to avoid her body be thrown forward.

( CRASH )

*flashback*

In a small apartment complex where simplicity fills the interior, Taehyung slowly steps inside after unlocking the door with a paperclip.

It was already night time and few passersby are seen on the neighborhood street, each minding their own business.

He thought that this is the perfect time to accomplish the task that was given to him two weeks prior. It took too long to locate the address of the person-of-interest, but finally he did.

The sweet scent of the room fills his nostrils as he takes in the scene of the room. There's nothing really worthy to describe at what he is seeing now.

A mattress with one pillow is located at the far end of the room, with a plain desk and a lamp on the side. On the other area of the room, there's appliances consisting of a stove, which is neatly placed next to the kitchen sink, a small refrigerator and a microwave on top of it. A sofa is randomly placed in the middle.

There were no designs plastered on the wall, only a door of the bathroom and a large window next to the desk. It seems as if no one lives here.

With small steps, he curiously roams around the room and fishes out his phone from his pocket to call his comrade.

"Jin, found anything?"

The man on the other line sighed, "There's literally none, Taehyung. It seems like her identity never existed. If we haven't hacked the CCTVs surrounding the whole Seoul, we wouldn't have known where she lives. And it's pure luck we obtained that one clip where her side profile is seen."

"Her place is nothing out of the ordinary. It's intriguing why a mafia leader wanted her killed." He says while caressing his fingers on the gun he just pulled out.

"That's another thing I've been meaning to tell you. Like how her identity seems to be erased, Jeon Jungkook's is the same. No information of him can be traced. Will you kill her?"

"I already agreed to it, Jin. There's no backing out now. I'll finish her and take the money."

Taehyung halted for a moment. He hears gentle footsteps coming from the outside, followed by dangling keys opening the door knob.

He immediately ended the call with no farewells, and walked inside the bathroom to hide.

He can hear her close the door, and sigh from tiredness. He opens the door slightly to allow him peek through it to get a view of her.

Jennie just came home from work. She sits on her bed as she places the keys back inside her bag.

She was wearing black jeans and a plain white shirt, with a padded sweater on top of it. She sighs softly as she removes her tie, dropping her long locks of wavy hair.

She then scoots to her side and continues to do the first thing she always does. It is to open the drawer of her night desk and carefully take the most important thing she owns: a picture of him.
