This is another request for PancakeOfTheSea I hope I have done your obsession with The Island of Doctor Moreau well. Sorry it's shorter than others and a bit mundane.(words count 416ish)

The Spring breeze plucks seeds and pollen from the new budding trees around campus. Cars rumble along in the moderately congested Westminster streets, students flit between seminars and the library- where I am heading now. Smiling up to the ancient clock tower to the left of the library, I reminisce of how long it took my to adjust to the English time zone and hourly chiming of Big Ben.  Continuing my daily pilgrimage to the library, I spot a smartly dressed male studying the university- he carries himself in a familiar manner... Approaching him, he straightens his raincoat. "Can I help you, sir?" I ask timidly. He smiles, "Delilah, right?" he muses; tilting my head, I study his features. Realisation hits me like a train. "Monty?" the heavens open, "Oh my god, Montgomery?" I address the well groomed male. He tips an imaginary hat, "the one and only..." he chuckles, wiping raindrops from his face. "I'm so sorry" I stutter, " do you want to go get coffee, get out of the rain?" I suggest, he beams down to me Of course, I trust you to find a decent place." He comments, "Oh, I know a corner café that do the BEST coffee and sticky toffee cake." I giggle as he links his arm with mine. The short walk to the café is in a comfortable silence, both of us focussing on our waterlogged clothing that's sticking to us;

Entering the moderately busy shop, it's easy to find a booth. "I'll get the drinks, what do you fancy?" He sits down, shedding his sopping coat. "An Earl Grey, STRONG please." He grins. Chuckling, I join the line and I'm quickly at the front. "One mocha and a strong Earl Grey tea, please." Placing the drinks down on the table, Montgomery is watching the fat raindrops racing down the murky windows. He pulls his attention over to me, "How much do I owe you?" He inquires, I shake my head furiously "Nope. Not going to happen." I smirk at his guilty smile. "So how has your travelling treated you?" I question, sipping the hot coffee, chocolatey mix. I lean forward as he sniggers as if I've told a really good, bad joke. "It's.... interesting. I don't think I could be apprentice to another doctor." He gets a mysterious glint in his eyes; he sweeps his hair back, "Is that good or bad?" I inquire as he sips his tea- sighing in content. "It varies from day to day."

A/N I hope you liked this! I am in no way educated in this book, so I apologise if I absolutely butchered Montgomery. xx
