you bend your back in a stretch once you were done opening the sprinklers

in the midst of hearing your bones crack, you also heard a familiar voice calling your name. you stopped stretching and faced the voice. there stood mr. and ms.seo waving their hands from the house beside yours

together with 5 pairs of eyes

you awkwardly stood properly and waved shyly. you suddenly became conscious because you were only wearing your old highschool oversized hoodie and a pair of shorts, the hood was also up on your bed hair and also wearing your prescription glasses

"come on! join us, we made lots of food" ms. seo walked near the fence so she can talk properly without shouting

"um i alre-"

"i will not be accepting no for an answer!" ms.seo cuts you off "i bet you're parents are not home eh?"

you nodded rapidly making ms.seo smile in a motherly way, she then motioned her hand for you to come over

"hi y/n!" doyoung greets first as you sat beside him

"hi doyoung" you shyly said

"okay you remember me, im flattered" doyoung touched his chest dramatically making you chuckle

"i guess you can still remember me as well?" mark cautiously said

"of course, i didn't go through an accident and suddenly woke up with amnesia jeez calm down" you laughed at their relieved expressions

"ok that's good no need to nag" johnny shrugs his shoulders

"anyway, this is jaehyun he's new here" mark slung his arm over the shoulders of the guy beside him

"hi i'm y/n from that house over there" you pointed at the gray house and offered your hand

he shook it with a smile

"jung jaehyun, you can call me jae since you're their friend anyway" jaehyun motioned his head towards the guys "it means you're automatically my friend as well"

the whole meal was full of laughing and reminiscing, you also listened to jaehyun's stories. but after eating, you decided to head back to your house, not forgetting to thank mr. and ms.seo for the lovely food of course and also bid a goodbye to the guys

"she didn't change at all, i thought she's going to be snobby or like an emo or something" mark said

the sun is starting to set as they chill at the backyard. the food and mess were already cleaned up

"y/n's just spending too much of her time alone that's why she's a little introverted" johnny explained "but it's surprising that she can still get along with us pretty well after a few years of not hanging out"

they all nodded in agreement

"what do you think about our unexpected friend jae?" ten suddenly asked since he noticed that jaehyun's a little bit out of place

"she's umm.. nice" jaehyun said and thinks more since the guys are giving him an unsatisfied look "and pretty"

"woah there!!" mark exclaimed

"i won't lie but jaehyun's ear was bright red the whole time she was here earlier" johnny laughs, ten and mark joins him later on

"i saw that too!" ten said in between laughs

"ok stop it" jaehyun felt his ears become hot again

"ok let's get this straight. do you like y/n?" doyoung asked seriously

johny, mark and ten eventually stopped laughing and diverted their attention to jaehyun who's flustered

"dude that's too soon to like someone" jaehyun dodged his question

"come on! it can happen sometimes" doyoung pushes as the other three listens attentively like kids

"i mean, i do like her b-" jaehyun was cut off with the guys cheering as if their favourite baseball team won

"but i guess we'll just find out what happens next" jaehyun mumbled to himself
