There are people who can keep a secret to the grave, and there are others who give them away like a pamphlet. For Katie, she's both. You can say she has secrets that she took with her dead body and some secrets that were known by others. Secrets that might lead to her disappearance.
Brendan was walking towards me with a smile on his face and a folder. Once he reached me, he gave me the folder. Opening it, I was surprised to see Katie's folder. It had her locker combination and other information that I didn't know about.
"Where did you get this?" I asked.
"It wasn't easy," Brendan replied, "Or legal..."
I looked at the folder, reading Katie's locker combination. I looked at her locker and quickly entered the code, the locker unlocked and I saw a clutter of papers and a picture of Katie hanging from the locker, with an X drawn all over her face. It looked like it was tampered by someone else. I looked around to look for clues, all the papers had were just crumpled notes from class, there were used pencils and inks, a tampon, and a notebook. I opened it to see just notes but something red caught my eyes amidst all the black ink that tampered the book. I looked to see a message from 602.
It's a surprise that you saw this message, you're not stupid as I thought.
- 602
I showed Brendan the piece of paper, "Holy shit." He cursed. Then someone suddenly slammed Katie's door, we looked to see Sydney with a stern face.
"Opening Katie's locker without her permission?" She said, "You guys are way too sneaky."
"Are you being sarcastic or-"
"Yes, boo." Sydney answered me, "What's that?"
"Another note from 602" I answered.
"Nothing important." Brendan added.
"Speaking of 602, did you got this?" Sydney asked, showing us a picture of a locker, it wasn't Katie's locker, it wasn't locker no. 602 either, it was a different number combination.
"Nope." I shook my head, "I don't have Snapchat."
"Wait... what!?" Sydney squealed in shock, "Anyways, it was sent from someone named 'lbd361'..." Sydney said, "Does that username sound familiar?"
"I have plenty of Snapchat friends," Brendan bragged, "One of which is Nash Grier,"
"Ew," Sydney cringed, "What the heck, Brendan?"
"What, he's cute." He replied.
"Well, he's homophobic."
"Still cute though."
I chuckled at their conversation. It was pointless and completely out of topic, but it was still funny.
"Whatever." Sydney rolled her eyes.
I locked Katie's locker and unlocked mine, as I open it, I was shocked to see something different with it. "Holy shit." I cursed.
"Holy shit." Sydney repeated.
"Oh my god." Brendan gasped.
My locker was full of pictures of Katie, me, Sydney, and all of the others. Looking like paparazzi shoots, it looked like they were taken all day since I was wearing the same clothes I'm wearing today. It was creepy as hell.
Sydney snatched a photo, "What the hell," She cringed, "Why do I look like a stoner in this picture?" She turned it around, I saw a big letter "D" written in red ink.
Brendan took one, "Ooh, I look like Lady GaGa in this." He proudly said. Sydney took a peep, "Honey, you look more like a wannabe drag queen than Lady GaGa."
Brendan rolled his eyes and turned it around, I saw a big letter "S" also written in red ink. "Wait," I mumbled, I quickly took out all the photos out of my locker and turned them around, they all had big letters all written in red ink.
"Meet me in the gym, after school," I said, taking the pictures from them and keeping it in my bag, "Tell the others."
//
Everyone was here at the gym, I brought out my bag and poured all the pictures to the floor.
"What the hell is that?" Jacob asked.
"Something peculiar that I found in my locker." I answered. I crouched and flipped all the photos as they show different letters. I looked up to all of them, looking puzzled.
"That could decipher anything..." Tiana brought up.
"Spell 'decipher'." Sydney asked her. Tiana gave her a snap of her fingers, Sydney rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Let me help..." Logan said and kneeled down, he tried to arrange the flipped photos.
I stood up and placed my index finger on my chin, "It could mean anything..." I mumbled.
"Or it could be another warning or stuff like that." Brendan sarcastically said. I shrugged.
I suddenly felt a tap from my shoulder, I turned around to see Violet. "Ryder, can I talk to you about something, privately?" She asked. "Yeah sure." I nodded and she led me outside the gym, "What seems to be the problem?" I asked.
"I think I can't help with this whole Katie operation anymore." She nervously mumbled. That's weird, just a day ago, she seem excited about finding out about what happen to Katie, now, she looked like she was in a glum mood right now.
"Why?" I asked.
"I just can't," She said, inhaling and exhaling a big breathe, "I just can't help to find a person who's evil and corrupt. I'm sorry." She finished.
"That's not Katie." I told her.
"That's what she wants everyone to believe." She sternly stated, "I've seen her, her true side, she's malignant. She's dangerous." She added, "And I just can't help you find someone like her who's so... evil." She finished. "I'm so sorry, Ryder." She said, dramatically running away.
Well, who needs her anyway? She was irrelevant. One side of me thought. While the other was wondering what was wrong with her.
"Ryder," Sydney called me, I turned around to her, "Come see." She led me back to the gym.
"Where's Violet?" Tiana asked.
"She said she didn't want to help." I replied.
"Really?" Tiana tilted her head in question. Logan tossed a picture to a distance, it looked like he didn't make any progress, "It's no use, I can't make something out of them." He said.
I didn't cared about the pictures, what my mind was focusing on was Violet. Where did she go? And why did she leave?

"Did you finally leave them?" The hooded figure asked.
"Yes." I said, "Now where is she?" I asked.
"She's still with us."
"What?" I asked, "You told me you'd bring her to me once I did what you said!"
"Poor naive girl," It said, "You know too much."
Then suddenly I felt a heavy item hit my head. And everything went black.
