Ten years later, John and Rose Smith sat on the stairs of the back porch of their small home in the heart of London, watching their three children play football with some of their friend's kids. Even after all this time, it still pained Rose to look at them because they all looked so much like James did. She was battling depression, but had it under control, and having the Doctor to help her through it all really made a difference.

Their eldest daughter, Sara Donna, was the smartest kid in her class. She thrived in science and was excellent at creative writing, which Rose and "John" liked bragging about almost too much. Her younger brother, Michael "Mickey" Wilfred, was the best football player on his team. He, too, thrived in school and almost everything else he tried. And their youngest daughter, Martha Joan, was only four, but just as strong, outgoing, and intelligent as her namesake.

But the one thing they all had in common, aside from their light brown hair and smarts, was a need for adventure. They spoke about traveling more than anything else, and were huge fans of almost anything regarding space travel. Rose and John told them of their many adventures, and even though their children thought they were fiction, they were thrilled that they could pass on their stories to their children.

The Doctor had never been happier, and Rose was becoming more and more optimistic every day. The need for danger and adrenaline had been almost non-existent in the pair for nearly a decade.

All was well.
